Exceptional location, we sat like 2 meters from the sea and have always appreciated dining "feet in the sand". Friendly and welcoming waiting staff and good atmosphere while being seated on simple wooden garden benches. We made reservations for the Friday Caribbean Lobster fest, and that might just not have been the best idea... Price was at about 75USD per... More

Great location, to enjoy the sunset, Zest restaurant also delighted us with the best quality food we could find on the island. Burgers and other grilled meat, a good selection of wines and other great meals are available. Look no further if you're looking for a place to have a good time.

Sat down for the infinity pool and comfy looking sun beds. The staff was grumpy and unfriendly, there were trash and so many cigarette buts on the floor, the fruit shakes were basically cocktail syrup mixed with crushed ice. Although the seats are comfy, would probably enjoy the infinity pool next door and not at this place.

Zest at Jan Thiel consist of two parts, a proper restaurant where you can enter with pumps and picnic tales on the beach. I went to the beach. The food menu is mostly grilled meat and other easy to prepare stuff. You eat at Picnic tables and may need to share a table with others when busy. Service is good... More

Zest has a restaurant and a beach terrace where they serve food. Under the umbrellas and with a sunset, the Carribean picture is perfect. Nice warm soft sand and a nice but simple menu, cold beers or juicy cocktails make it perfect to be at Zest in the evening. Also during the daytime Zest is the perfect combination between a... More

Located on Jan Thiel Beach, Zest Beach Cafe is the perfect setting for dinner at the end of the day. The menu has a mix of caribbean, dutch and mediterranean cuisine. Food is delicious and the staff is friendly and patient with diners like us unfamiliar with some of the dutch choices. The views at sunset are wonderful. We raced... More

We are here the first night after arriving at the papagayo. The beach vibe with the lights and wooden benches is just great...I like those kinda restaurants. The food was great but the service was slow unfortunately which I don't really mind during a vacation. The vibe and the beachy part made this restaurant almost my favorite one. Highly recommended

Spent the last evening of our 3 week rental in Boca Gentil at this restaurant. For a non-Dutch speaking person, the menu was a wonderful departure from the ordinary. A bit pricey but well worth it for a farewell dinner.

Here we enjoyed all the moments of the day! Great breakfast(lot to choose). One time we had lunch in the restaurant and the other time on the beach in Zest café. In the café I ordered 'chorizo' and thats all you get!Better the staff inform before that you only get 1 sausage. After she served it I ordered french fries... More
