Heard so much about this place, we had to stop in for lunch during our stay. Not crowded but it was a bit intimidating at first peek. We didn't spot any tourists, but the food smelled amazing. Whatever, we wandered in to look and someone...More

As you may know Plaza Bieu is an enormous food hall for the masses, serves a midday meal but no evening supper. And there are several vendors there, each with its own kitchen set-up. After 3-4 years we have settled on our favorite: Zus. This...More

Upon entering plasa bieu it was crowded with both locals and some tourists, so this was going to be our lunch spot (it was around 14:00). A short walk across all stands and pretty much based on the best smell we sat down at one...More

This was in the middle of the shopping area, a great little spot to sit for a little and grab a bite to eat!

The Plaza Bieu (old market) offers a lot of local dishes. The atmosphere is really worth the visit. The food however wasn't of my taste.. But if you are into eating local and traditional food....

A must do dining experience on Curacao. Loved the food and atmosphere. Great okra soup served with home made polenta. Fish and rice next was just as good. You will sit with locals and tourists alike.

Awesome place to get cheap local food. Sometimes it takes a while because everybody wants to eat there. Cause it’s very delicious food.

I am still debating on how to rate Plaza Bieu. I went there looking for the red snapper. Apparently, the section we chose didn't have red snapper. All I heard was tuna or filet of "something". I chose the filet of "something" and the funchi....More

There is parking, paid and free around the area. If you are staying outside Willemstad take a local bus to the "city" as they run often and are very cheap. There are two bus stations, one at Punta which is right around the... More

They might not have vegan food, however there are 5 to 7 different vendors, What I would do is to find one who might be able to accomodate me for the next day or all week, It might be easier for vegetarian than vegan though.
