When you enter the restaurant you'll come into a forest-like atmosphere where you can sit outside or under a roof. The food is good and served at high speed so don't forget to flip the card from green to red once in a while. Otherwise you won't have time to eat the meat. The restaurant is not situated in a... Although a bit remote, L'Aldea is worth the trip. When you enter the restaurant it feels like you enter a mini rain forest. Reservation is a must, were it not that you don't want to make the trip to hear that all tables are booked. The personnel is very friendly and has a good sense of humor. The owner is... More

This was a very fun experience. The atmosphere is hard to beat and the waiter John was very good and lots of fun. Beautiful salads and excellent variety of chicken beef lamb and more. Only down point was we thought the dessert was included in the per person price and found out at the cash it wasn't so abit on... More

Not bad, not great. It is average. We were told on the phone we needed reservations, yet when we arrived there was one table, lol. Pricier than US versions yet less variety. I will say, this place is WAYYYYY out of the way, as in out in the boondocks. We had a car so found our way here after an... More

Let's see now, I heard about L'Aldea from a friend's wife staying at the Grand Hyatt, which by the way is a truly exceptional resort. I told her about the Grand Hyatt and she enlightened me about L'Aldea....thank goodness for good friends! It was all she raved about and a lot more, and it truly is the "best" restaurant in... More

My wife and I ate her on our wedding aniversary and were not dissapointed. In the interest of full disclosure, we do favor Brazilian BBQ's, having dined at Fogo de Chao, Texas de Brazil, and Churascaria Plataforma in NYC. L'Aldea was just as good if not better then them all. While it does take a little bit of a drive... More

The service was excellent and the staff was very attentive andfriendly. The place was setup like a rainforest with plants, animals southamerican icons like temples and totums. So ask for Greg and tell them Craig sent you! And did I mention the 15 different kinds of meat prepared and served with professionalism. So from the salad bar all the way... More

While the location will require a drive, you will find it well worth it. On an island where service is, shall we say, lacking, this place shines. Water and beverages never empty, and a staff that aims to please. Great value, and the food is great. The atmosphere was cool with an "amazon" feel, but still very classy. Highly recommended.
