Visited this tiny restaurant on Valentine's Day when doing a late dinner with my wife. The place was not crowded, and we sat inside and had a very intimate ambiance. The service was great, precise explanation of all served items. We had the rijsttafel for two (kinda like a buffet but served at the table) and were full up to... More

We loved the peanut sauce and recommend ordering that sauce with fried plantains as a savory dessert. They are known as "Bananas Silvia", Absolutely delicious. We spend much more for less at other places. This atmosphere is casual, but the food is top notch!

The meals are smaller then before and the taste is less. it is still a nice small restaurant with just a few tables. The price are not high for the quality, but they are for the amount of food.

We ordered the Bami and Nasi Goering meals. They came with all sorts of Indonesian sides. Very nice... ate outside. Price was very reasonable.

For lunch I choose Sambal. I ate sate with french fries and peanut sauce. Fresh lemon juice this was delicious. So soon I shall return.

Located in a strip mall area. Food was ok but staff was friendly and attentive. Bit expensive for what we got and orders were all mixed up. The do have a vegetarian option though. Pick your own meat and rice/noodles for the wok fried option.

This place is or was my regular place for lunch and a nice snack in the afternoon. But somehow the management was changed some months back and the place is not the same anymore. I kept visiting been there 3 times since and unfortunately this change was not for the better. While the food is not bad at all but... More

After overspending at a number of tourist places, Sambal was a pleasant surprise. Very good appetizer platter and good main courses. Right next door to a gelato shop. I'd go back.

Not at all disappointed by the food they serve, it's strict Indonesian but more a mix of indonesian, Thai and Surinamese. Perfect ! Overall again a nice experience, and recommendable to people who like to try and are interested in different cultures and food! Ruby, is very charming ! I loved her enthousiasm

We were a little early for the Saturday night bbq, but we're still able to sample the chicken, beef and pork Sate. Also tried the Indonesian food and it was good, but ask for the hot pepper sauce and it's then great. Owner was more than helpful and the staff was friendly. It's in the Zuikertuin Mall which in itself... More

shockingly bad food. Behind the counter was a microwave and all the food came out of the fridge and got a 3 minute microwave treatment before being served. For 4 adults we paid $130!!! We have had Indonesian food in many places and this was simply horrible.
