What a wonderful classic restaurant! My wife and I had two perfect meals there on our first trip to Curaçao. The staff is completely professional and the ambiance is so conducive to a relaxed dining experience. I had the best filet mignon I believe I've...ever tasted end my wife enjoyed the fresh catch of the day which was red snapper. Both meals included perfectly cooked potatoes, carrots and asparagus. I couldn't resist the desserts and enjoyed the cashew pie with ice cream my first trip. Two nights later we went back for the exact same meal and this time had the cheese cake with pecans and caramel sauce, ice cream and whipped cream. We had a nice visit with the owner who made us feel like family. If you want to enjoy an incredible Curaçao dining experience, go to the Wine Cellar for a meal you will want to repeat!More

We wanted to spend our anniversary dinner somewhere special and The Wine Cellar did not disappoint. The service was very attentive. We were greeted by a lovely lady who sprinkled our table with happy anniversary confetti. The bartender gave us complimentary Prosecco. I ordered the...salmon and it was delicious, big piece of filet. Hubby ordered the Argentina filet and it was “the best steak” on the island. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Highly recommend. Thank you The Wine Cellar. We will return.More

I have travelled around, gone to many different restaurants, different cuisine, different class. But The Wine Cellar in Curacao pertains to the best. World class, excellent service, cozy and perfect dishes.

The wine cellar along with two other restaurants was recommended to us by our concierge which led us to this amazing cozy restaurant. We were not very hungry but ended up leaving no scraps behind We were seated by a friendly host which gave us...a view of the outside. The decor was classy and still managed to be cozy We were served The bread at the table with smoked salmon which melted in our mouths. Then one of the owners came to take our order. They tell us when we come to curacao to talk to the locals. He was a fountain of knowledge. I happen to have all kinds of issues that my family is quite resigned to at this point I could not have white sauce it cannot be greasy I had to be cooked just right and so on and so forth. You manage to understand and changed my appetizer and my entrée. This is a family-owned restaurant which gives the kind of specialized treatment. We had a mushroom appetizer which was out of this world. And then came my grilled shrimp. My issue with large shrimp was that the size does not allow for any taste other than the shrimp itself. He understood what I was talking about and suggested splitting the shrimp in the middle so the sauces could get in. He managed to make that entrée the most appetizing meal I’ve had on the island. Being particular I did not expect to enjoy the wine. Again I was surprised. Finally it was time to leave and we came out to find we are in the middle of a surprise shower. One of the brothers came with an umbrella and lead us to a car. This is service at its best.More

We went here after al long time for a dinner, to celebrate my dushi’s birthday. We were very surprised that there were no other guests at all. We were met with great gallantry by one of the owners, who told us that we would get...all attention and we were in for a special treatment. When he hearse about the birthday celebration, we were led to a nice table, which was already covered with little “Happy Birthday” decorations. That was already our first surprise. The next surprise was that we each got a nice glass of outstanding Prosecco. The interior of the restaurant is somewhat old fashioned, and could use some updating to modern standards. On the other hand, it suits the level of hospitality, which nowadays also seems a bit old fashioned! This kind of hospitality is extremely rare nowadays! The three course meal we enjoyed, together with the excellent wines, was really everything we could have wished for, and more! For us there is no doubt that this restaurant is lonely at the top, with only one or two other restaurants in Curaçao that can compare a little bit. After that there is nothing for quite a while, to be followed by some other restaurants that are very good, but really not to be compared to The Wine Cellar. If you like excellent food with supreme hospitality, The Wine Cellar is a place you just cannot afford to miss!More
