My wife and I stopped in early in our trip and we were instantly greeted by a bartender and chatted. We bought a couple of beers and loved the price of about USD $1.30. We saw the menu prices and sat down. This would be our first of about 6 meals here. The filet miñon is as good as any... More

Nice place that was adjacent to our B & B. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Priced very reasonably. Enough food. Our waiter, Hugo, was the best we had in Varadero. An absolute treat having him. He spoke excellent English, was very attentive, and had a great sense of humor. Recommend!!

The El Caney Snack Bar is a thatched roof outdoor style café right on the main drive in Varadero. It is a little further into town from the resorts in an area where local shops offer better deals. My wife enjoyed the fried chicken and rice (which had a nice skin and was very juicy) and I sampled the garlic... More

We were so happy to see all the waiters from the restaurant under renovations working here. The food is awesome and the srivice is great. Thank you very much Yugo and Leo. You re the best . We have visited many times this restaurant and it is always a joy to find that they keep the quality of food. The service is very good and with a smile.

We have been going to Varadero since 2013 and visit this restaurant at least twice each trip. The food is yummy, reasonably priced and staff are kind and accommodating. I have told everyone who I hear is going to Varadero to give this place a try. Have never had a bad meal there yet.

Is a good place to eat, but they do not always have available all the options in the menu. So that is a downside for me.

I enjoyed the steak with mushroom sauce it was accompanied by rice and beans and plantain chips. Bread and Cuban salad were served before. Mojitos were my drink of choice. My meal was great and was 7.50 cuc. Easy to get to off of the double decker bus if coming in from a resort.

We had this true Cuban dining experience for the second time in 3 years - and as before we were not disappointed! My husband ordered lobster, fish and shrimp with plantain chips, rice and a salad for 2 PLUS I had fish and shrimp, 2 waters, 1 mojito and 1 Cuba Libre for CUC 32! The server lady was very... More
