I am a professional bartender and a lover of history. This place was a must for me and I was not disappointed. This is the cradle of the Hemingway Daiquiri. Hemingway himself stands ever vigilant in the corner. I had brought a copy of a bartender magazine that had focused on several bars around Havana. In the magazine, there was... More

Stop in and hang out at the bar- it's a place you have to stop by and check out, listen to some music and then get drinks anywhere else on the island!

This may not be the cheapest place to drink and eat, The atmosphere created is very good. The food i did not sample but looked good from what i could see. The Daiquiri's are to die for and are very good quality and value.

Given the depressing decay of many parts of Havana, this stop was a welcome bucket of cheer! The drinks are about double that of other places nearby but the vibe and the band makes it worth it for at least one stop and one drink. I had fun and met nice folks. They also have a gift shop and the... More

We visited upon our arrival in Cuba on a Saturday night as it was close to our hotel. We had a couple of mediocre daiquiris and we were getting hungry so decided to eat there as well. We opted for the fish platter, which was very bland and horrendously overcooked. The lobster was so chewy it was inedible. Pop in... More

If you are into Hemmingway then its a great place to visit - you can have your photo taken with his statue. However, that is all there is to this place. It is crowded with a continuous line of tourists ( all drinking daiquiris - its about the only drink they serve), The food is okay ( designed to be... More

When you walk in you feel like you have stepped back in time, the bar people are dashing and of course the home of the best daiquiri .. which I have to agree with but it does cost double of anywhere else. The band are amazing and make the evening. Having lines of tourists coming through just to take photos... More

Apparently this is where the daiquiri was invented so it is just about compulsory to have one here. The place looks like it probably has looked since hemmingway was there.it is full of tourists and the cocktails are $6 so the most expensive we had in Havana. There was some great live music there and it was just a fun... More

Full of tourists but worth it. We did everything possible to avoid touristy places but we had to give this a try. Daiquiri one of the best. Music excellent and just a good break for a sunny hot day in Havana.

Thank Alexandra M
