I travel to Havana about 3 times a year. This is my breakfast place, amazing service, great food and also great prices. Want to give thanks to the staff for the attention to details, they serve breakfast like you are in Canada real bacon and eggs.

This government run restaurant is catering mostly to tour groups. It is overall not a bad restaurant and food is overall decent. I ate there several times and most groups will have a choice of lamb, pork, chicken or fish (usually most served with a few veggies and rice). It does the job.

Just popped in the courtyard bar at new year's eve, desperately looking for an unbooked dinner. Turned out they serve the castle like restaurant's menu outdoors as well! Go tor the LACON for an affordable, golden & crispy baked, mouthwatering leg of a (pulled) pork - may even feed two.

the building itself was built in 50s in a la Mauritanian style. looks great from outside and inside. it is located on the avenue with Canadian, British and some other embassies. It is about 15 minutes walk from the stop oh hop on - hop off bus. Food was good and it was the less expensive food we had in... More

Look, this place will never get a Michelin Star, but the food served (lunch on a Bales/Virgin Taste of Cuba Tour) was perfectly acceptable, albeit the lunch took an age to serve. CE is situated five miles east of down to Havana. An old house with small dining areas, the bean starter was tasty. The main of pork, beef and... More

but this place felt like hawaii due to the thatching and open roof. For some reason it just didn't feel like cuba..... just couldn't figure it out. I felt rushed, and there was nothing extraordinary.

This is a pleasant restaurant located in a refurbished old home that offers both good service and good food. There are stained glass windows representing the various regions of the country. The furniture is as one thinks similar to their Spanish heritage. The food is served family style and offered in a slightly different manner than other restaurants in Havana.

Mar 21 Arriving back in Havana, we checked in to the Melia Cohiba in the Velado district. It is the best hotel yet. Just 10" away by car is the imposing Casa Espanola. Seeing the castle-like mansion made me believe the food must be commissurate. Inside, the medieval motif continues with a full-size suit of armor, ornate dark woodwork and... More

Restaurant in an old mansion is a reminder of the grander times of Cuba. Wonderful wood work throughout and the food was amazing. Who would expect lamb done to perfection in Cuba?

This is a once-splendid fantasy home designed with Spanish baronial splendor, so the restaurant includes the lovely garden and a number of rooms furnished with pseudo-antique furnishings - the main room has stained glass windows. Service is attentive, food is well prepared - one of the few places for good lamb, as well as fish and other dishes. We enjoyed... More
