This is typical tourist bait and even though you are aware of this you will probably nevertheless still visit. The air-conditioning is BRUTAL! During our visit they had great live music, but it was simply too cold to really enjoy the atmosphere. The service is really slow, the cocktails are good but pricey. Of course the main attraction is the... More

It was very cool to see the bar that Hemingway made famous for the daiquiris, and they were quite good. I would recommend getting their early in the day, or be prepared to wait! Also a lot of tour groups come here and seem to not have to wait, which is a little annoying. At least we really got to... More

One of my favorite spots in Havana Vieja, it is always busy but not packed, there is always a band playing salsa or Cuban Music in such a positive athmosphere. Their most popular drink is the daiquiri, the service is good and you can smoke in side.

We actually called in for lunch as part of a large party and found it quite interesting as it was designated has the stop off on the Hemmingway tour. The food was quite basic but good and presented in a very pleasant way. It was extremely busy around the bar at the front of the establishment but what an atmosphere... More

I was here 2 1/2 years ago - it was busy - but fun. Now - they have literally bus loads of tourist pilling in for a taste of a daiquiri and they cater to the bus masses first - a lone couple will have to wait. Very good daiquiri mind you - but it is packed like sardines and... More

Yes, I have been here! Because I like rhum and I like Hemingway. If this is the same place today as when Hemingway visited it, it is not strange that he needed 16 daiquiries to stay here! The bar is CROWDED with tourists. The bartenders work like slaves and daiquiries are produced as if made by machines. I do not... More

The drinks were really really good and went down a little too well. We didn't eat there, but did manage to find a tiny table in a corner of the bar and sit and have a drink. Or three. 2 lovely ladies from Sweden sat and joined us, and it was nice to listen to the live music, drink our... More

You are coming here to try daiquiri (6 CUC) and to see the statue of Hemingway. The place looks very nice, it is full of tourist, but will not regret to visit it.
