We had two meals at Mojito mojito, and as the first visit was so pleasant we went back for our final meal in Havana, big mistake. The food took an hour to come and when it did it was cold. I had the chicken curry...and my wife had the shredded beef, both barely tepid. We should have sent them back, but we’d been there so long we didn’t want to risk spending the entire evening there. Needless to say from about 2am I got very acquainted with the bathroom and there I stayed. It wiped off 3 days of my holiday and made travelling the next day ‘challenging’. To cap it off, the restaurant gave us 100 pesos to the pound on the first visit, which was about average, but only 80 on our final visit despite me getting 120 earlier on that day. Very disappointed. Had high hopes for this restaurant based upon the reviews, but failed to live up to expectations. Service was awful and food/drinks mediocre. Not many customers so little vibe unlike la vitrola two blocks away. Many better places in Havana. Try El Carbon...or paladar los mercaderes.More

We visited Mojito Mojito for a heavily overpriced "New Year's Eve special dinner with Live Music". We arrived around 8.30. We were surprised that the band already left after two songs so we had to start the new year without live music. We ordered mojitos...which were quite good, the only good thing though in this restaurant. Unfortunately the food was a complete disappointment. I had a seafood platter which smelled badly and tasted like freezed and cooked three times before. My intestinal tract had to work overtime for two days in a row. Although I didn't eat 10% of the platter the restaurant tried to charge a double platter (although I never ordered a double platter). All in all a typical tourist trap. I've visited Cuba for over 20 times and do know the restaurant scene quite well. I really can't explain where all these fancy recommendations come from. If you really want to eat good and healthy in Havana (which is not that easy in these difficult times) I recommend "Paladar Los Mercaderes" a few streets away. 30.06.22 Follow-up: In the reply to my comment the manager claimed that the band left after midnight on New Year`s Eve which is an outright lie. This fact shows to me by which kind of people this place is run.More
