I’ve visited this restaurant twice in 6 weeks. I was slightly worried by some of the negative reviews but I can only write a positive one. Service excellent- from the moment entering the restaurant. Food delicious, menu not huge but a good choice to cater...for all tastes. I enjoy an evening dining when not rushed and the timing between courses was just right. Finished our meal with a drink on the deck, just lovely!More

The melanzane starter was one of the best individual courses we had in Barbados; while not everything matched that (five stars if it had), generally the more Italian the dish the better - service was great and friendly, and prices were lower than some of...the other west coast shoreline restaurants.More

We went to this restaurant thinking it was Daphnes still - however, when we got there realised it had been taken over. The food was poor quality the chicken escalope came up with a bag of lettuce thrown on the plate and the chicken tasted...like it had been processed. We had calamari to start which was average. There are so many lovely restaurants in Barbados - this is one that I wouldn't recommend.More

Sundowners on the terrace with attentive staff great cocktails and fantastic view The menu is not overtly carribean butthe use of great ingredients and skilfull cooking made this a great meal all seven of us had a very enjoyable evening It’s not had great reviews...but really it’s worth a visit Better food and service than some of the headlining restaurants on the west coast And great value for moneyMore

We enjoyed an excellent experience for dinner at Positano restaurant for our group of seven. Superb quality food, wines and service. All the staff were great and in particular a big shout out to our superb waiter Rico Matthias. Highly recommended and we will definitely...be returning.More

Lovely ambience and good staff but very disappointing food. Far far better elsewhere on the island. Very clearly catering for the all inclusive hotel next door

We had dinner this evening from 6.30 with our 2 children. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Just the service slowish topping up of drinks and food coming out. Maybe down to staff shortage? Therefore, our children had now been here just over a...couple of hours and and in my opinion one tired and sleepy wanting to cuddle and nap over my shoulder and 2nd entertained watching a documentary on dinosaurs. We then noticed we were receiving extremely horrible looks and "tuts" from the couple at the table behind us, which then started to make us feel uncomfortable. The couple persisted on making US aware THEY DID NOT APPROVE of us, by looking at our children shaking their heads and "tutting" and then, throwing their chins in the air when I glanced back. They continued this openly to make us aware of their obvious disgust untill we felt too uncomfortable stay at finish our mains. So cut our visit short, didn't eat our main dishes, which took roughly an hour to come out after starters. Ruined our anniversary dinner and left feeling angry that people are so judgmental and saddened that we didn't even get to finish half our meal even when we went early for the kids. I'm my opinion the children were quiet and content, polite and well mannered. (FYI son is autistic so only focuses on technology gadgets).More

We didn't know what to expect as there were a few negative reviews on tripadvisor but we had a great Mel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was excellent - a cut above a normal Italian offering. Setting was lovely - we had...a table at the back of the restaurant but could still here the waves. Highly recommend.More

I hope I've got the right restaurant - was Daphne's now Positano situated between The House and Tamarind on Payne's Bay. The food was uncomplicated Italian and very tasty. Do go - it's a real treat. We both had the delicious tune tatrtare to start...and then a pasta dish. The lobster pasta was wonderful. Sadly we had no room for dessert. Decent reasonably priced bottle of wine and the sea at our toes. What's not to like.More

Yep much preferred Scarlett over the road and Nishi in Holetown. No need for surly service, basking in past reputation
