Food would be OK if it was a road side dinner, but not worth it compared to the price tag. No reason to eat here unless you're stuck on the hotel without car (and even then you could walk to the beach). Service is slightly akward, like they are a bit embarrassed over the food. We stayed at hotel and... More

We used AXA Pizza, which is part of the Firefly restaurant, for take away. We ordered 6 pizzas and where told it would take 40 mins. They called back shortly after and advised it would take 60 mins. We went to collect them and had to wait another 15 mins, so 1hr 15min in total. The pizza's had very thin... More

Service is not fast but friendly. The menu has some standard menu items and some "jazzed up" local dishes.

Three of us went here on our very first night in Anguilla. The restaurant was not crowded, the service was very attentive and the food was wonderful. I had the red snapper and it was prepared perfectly...along with fresh ( I understand they grow there own right on the grounds) grilled vegetables. Wine choices were very good. Restaurant is located... More

In the Anacaona Hotel. Great menu and for Anguilla reasonable prices. Services was good (Caribbean speed!). One night we felt like pizza for a change from lobster and asked if they could make it...it did take 30 mins but we had two outstanding pizzas ..and they were only $10 each! Great bar area friendly people and good attentive service

When we booked our stay at the Anacaona Boutique Hotel we opted for the package deal that included two meals and daily continental breakfast at the Firefly Restaurant. For us, this turned out to be a bad decision. First evening after checking in we went to dinner at Firefly for one of our meals. There was one other couple in... More

We stayed at Anacaona and LOVED it, however we only ate at Anacaona’s Firefly restaurant twice (breakfast and dinner), and although the food was outstanding, I felt it was overpriced. For breakfast, the french toast is a must – it’s like a caramelized fried piece of heaven. Two pieces of French toast for $14 . . .yikes. The $8 fruit... More

Description
The poolside restaurant is called Firefly and in the evening you’ll see why: candlelit tables look out on the nodding palm trees and myriad lights sparkle on the main pool as tropical tree frogs serenade the guests. Firefly is quite magical, open to the trade winds and cooled by eight slowly revolving ceiling fans. The menu features a fusion of traditional Caribbean cuisine with a Eurasian slant. In our quest to create a truly island experience the menus in both the bar and restaurant will feature many Anguillian dishes, with Dog Island Curried Goat and Mama Paul’s Tuna Tartar sharing top billing with Chicken Francaise and Black Angus Steak-- all served with old-style piping hot Johnny Cakes. Many of the ingredients come from our own organic garden and orchard just beyond the main pool. We also have three “theme nights” each week: Latin Night (Friday), Chinese Night (Tuesday) and Antillean Night (Thursday), the latter with a floor show of song and dance performed by the local “Mayoumba Folkloric Theatre Troupe”. Firefly is open for breakfast 7.30 a.m. to 10 a.m, lunch 12 noon to 3.00 pm and dinner 7 pm – 9.30 pm The menu of bar snacks is available throughout the day. Dinner entrees range in price from $18 to $39 but we won’t be offended if you settle for the bar snacks (mostly $10 a serving), including, amongst other offerings, seven types of wings, conch fritters and calamari. There is also a “to go” menu for food-and-drinks service on the beach during the day. Since people come to Anguilla to relax, the dress code in Firefly is casually chic. The Firefly bar is open from 11.00 a.m. until 11 p.m. but may well stay open longer since our bartender has created an inviting collection of specialty tropical drinks ‘For Those Who Are…’ (that is, “For Those Who are Romantic” or “Past It” or whatever -- guests will have to read the complete menu to match their moods). They keep the conversation bubbling long after bedtime. By day, guests can order food & drinks from their loungers on the beach from our beach bar “D’Sand Pit”.Live Entertainment at Anacaona’s Firefly Restaurant: ThursdaysFeaturing one of Anguilla's oldest cultural group "Mayoumba Folkloric Theatre" told through song and dance featuring centuries of Anguillian History. Then dance to true West Indian music by the Mayoumba Strings.  Enjoy a traditional Anguillian dinner buffet with Traditional dishes like Anguillian Pea Soup, Goat Meat, Curry Conch, Anguillian Bread Pudding and lots more with Anguillian Chef Kevin Paul.Dinner Buffet served from 7:15 pm, music at 8:00 pm and show begins at 8.30 pmDinner Buffet and Show $45 per person plus 18% ServiceReservations are highly recommended. Tuesdays- Chinese Night:Authentic Chinese food cooked fresh in our kitchens using the finest fresh ingredients and No MSG! The dinner is a set menu, you begin with an appetizer consisting of spring rolls, steamed Dim Sum and stuffed won tons. Seven dishes are brought to your table for the main Entree's usually consisting of Yangtze River steamed whole fish, Mandarin Pepper steak, Chairman Mao's sweet & sour chicken, Peking Pork, Shanghai Greens, and a Taiwanese noodle dish. If you can get past these dishes there is quite a sinful dessert to follow. Fridays - Latin Nights: A night full of latin flavours, dance and great Latin food and drink. Practice your salsa or merengue. Dine on dishes served in many Latin countries around the globe right here on Anguilla! as well ashaving a Latin DJ that will feature Latin music for your dancing pleasure, Salsa, meringue! OLE!
