Wonderful restaurant by the harbour with amazing views of Eğirdir lake. The food is divine. I highly recommend you to try fish with butter which is called Tereyağinda guveçte çipura in Turkish. Excellent quality, huge portion & amazing flavours. They also serve coffee in the...most beautiful way I've ever seen in Turkey. Prices are very reasonable and the ambience is cosy and relaxing. This was a literally unbelievable experience. We walked past the lakeside frontage earlier in the day and saw the restaurant staff conspire with a male guest to surprise his female companion with a wedding proposal, complete with oodles of red roses. So quaint and old-fashioned....After that, we had no choice but to go back for our evening meal . . . and we were not disappointed. The service was so friendly that you felt you were dining with a local family, which - in a way - we were! They were extremely Covid secure, with each item of cutlery wrapped in clingfilm to prevent infection. The food, particularly, the fish was delicious and, to cap it all, a bizarre laser light show started up shortly after dusk. It was nothing to do with the restaurant, but it certainly added to the atmosphere. But the final unbelievable piece was added to the jigsaw when two goslings decided to play in the restaurant terrace (everyone ate outside). So funny, so typical of Egidir!More
