Called in to Manor House hotel for a late lunch, apart from a bottle of hand sanitiser by the entrance there was no PPE worn by the staff who constantly got far too close, the plate that my food was served on was black in...colour, I think this helped to disguise that it was also dirty, the toilets had not been properly cleaned, yes they had done the basics like cleaning the toilet bowl but they had not cleaned the doors, walls, cistern, handles, dryer etc. All of the waiters are young people, mostly teenagers, if they catch the disease it will probably be just like a summer chill, I am 70 if I get it, it will kill me, will I return NO not now not ever.More
Great service and lots of space. Plenty of choice and generous portions. Food was delicious. Look forward to returning.
I have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and have found it to be fantastic so when we went recently after lockdown I was looking forward to the experience. Maybe the issues have been sorted now but we waited 1 hour 15...minutes for our starter accompanied by like warm white wine. The waiter who was experienced seemed embarrassed by this service. The food was good but over 2 and half hours for the meal was a bit slow. I will try again as this is a really good restaurant with fantastic staff with a few post lockdown issues.More
We were a party of thirteen age range three yrs to eighty yrs. We stayed for three nights and all had a wonderful time. We ate at the Cellar and at the Belleek and in both venues the staff were patient and attentive. The food...was delicious and well presented. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It is our favourite place to stay when we visit Ireland.More
Let me start by saying that I love this hotel.....generally.... The 13th to the 15th January 2020, was very stormy and cold. Unfortunately so was the hotel..(cold that is). We were shifted to another room which was an upgraded room, but once again it was...cold. The second night it did improve. The food was a bit of a disappointment however. We actually ate out the second night because of it. At breakfast, people either side of us were disappointed at the quality. The ulster fry was poor. The waitress was very polite and no one complained outwardly. That said, my kipper was excellent. Had the entire building been warmer, I wouldn't be complainingMore
Nicely situated 4 star hotel, with pool, spa, gym facilities. Variety of dining options from bar-food to fine dining.
The family were celebrating Mum’s 90th birthday and it was truly a memorable occasion. The hotel was lovely, the food was delicious and the staff were amazing. They made Mum feel so special and everyone was so pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back.....well...done and thank you Manor House.More
Visited here as part of a group. Had booked by telephone but when arrived a waitress told us there wasn't a booking for us. The waitress give us a menu then told us we couldn't order from the other menu. When we looked into the...poi t of the other menu it turns out the standard/typical menu is not available to larger groups (there was 9 of us). The waitresses attitude was very off putting and we were considering leaving. A young man who I assume was the manager (dressed in black suit, dark hair and had a beard). Came to our table and was a real pleasure and a credit to the hotel/restaurant, so a big well done to him. He couldn't do enough for us and was great with the kids. The quality of the food was good, not a large quantity of food on the plates (if that's your thing), service was quick, the atmosphere in the cellar is very nice but we did think it was a little expensive for what you get on the plates (but the quality is good). If you are staying at the hotel or passing it is worth a visit but I wouldn't be travelling out of my way to it for lunch.More
We chose this venue carefully for a reunion after considering the Lough Erne resort and Killyhevlin. What a wrong decision! We were really disappointed by the attitude and unprofessionalism of the member of staff dealing with us. One member of the party had dietary requirements...which had been explained to staff when booking and were indeed typed on the page when we checked in for Afternoon Tea. As soon as it was delivered to the table, we tried to explain that the top layer of the cake stand had not been altered to cater for the dietary needs. The waiter was arrogant and unhelpful and tried to tell us it was fine ... there was only a little of the allergen in it !!!! HOWEVER, “A little” would be enough to send for an ambulance!!!!! In the end the member of our party only ate bread products.... nothing sweet was suitable. This lady has had so many positive experiences in other hotels and even gave the waiter an example of what she could eat e.g a shortbread biscuit, but nothing arrived! The pots of tea were cold after about 20 mins and one of us eventually got a fresh pot when we more or less pleaded for it. We have never complained in our long lives and have done lots of eating in lots of establishments! What a shame our reunion was spoiled by arrogance. Thanks to Ollin Beattie being so understanding and lovely, we got a reduced bill. A true gentleman.More
