Quick summary: well-prepared food in a casual place, overlooking the canyon. Fair prices for the quality. Friendly, professional service. We stopped in for lunch after viewing some of the canyon in the morning. The menu is mostly sandwiches and salads with a few plates, mostly in the range of high $teens to low $20's. After a short wait for a table, we split the brisket sandwich ($17, came with fries) and the Southwest Caesar salad ($12, but you can add protein for an upcharge.) All was fresh and tasty. I forget the price of soft drinks or a beer. Friendly, professional service. Airy, clean dining room with a view. Advised to get there a little before yo get REALLY hungry. This is a popular place in an area of limited options. We'd be happy to come again, and recommend it to friends.

Perhaps it needs a new name. We didn’t find any steak on the menu. We were glad we had a reservation as the lunch wait was quoted at 90 minutes when we were there. The view was spectacular which made the mediocre food taste much better. Service was friendly but scattered. It’s a bit overpriced, but did I mention the view?

The eating options within the park can be very challenging right now, particularly since the restaurants seem to be short-staffed and still doing some social distancing. We made a lunch reservation here (they only serve lunch) and were very happy that we did. We ended up having this be our main meal of the day and then we just picked up sandwiches for dinner. The prickly pear margarita was excellent!

Although there weren't many people in the restaurant, we had to wait around 30 minutes. I assume this was because they didn't have enough staff to serve people. They had run out of almost all of the entrees, so options were limited. My daughter and I got the spicy chicken breast, and it was about as plain a piece of chicken as I have eaten in a long time. It did have a spoonful of something on it, but it didn't salvage the overall lack of seasoning. It certainly was not spicy. Our server was nice, and you could see the canyon during the day possibly, but certainly not at night, which is when we were there.

Horrible service and food. Spent 2 hours waiting on food when restaurant was only moderately busy. We had to ask for silverware, water refills and plates for the bread. Bartender came out of bar to remind waiter that our drinks had been sitting at the bar. When we caught the manager and asked why people who came in 30 minutes after us were being served before us he had trouble explaining. They then rushed my medium steak to compensate and it was served rare. All in all it was a horrible dining experience for us except for the bartender who seemed to be the only person who knew what he was doing.

Arizona Steakhouse was out of almost all of the menu! The waiter was rude & unapologetic about the situation. He did let an adult order off the kid's menu but served an extremely rare burger...but he never asked how I'd like it....which would have been cooked! Try the other restaurants before going here!

This was a very poor meal. The title of the review sums it up. We had to send the tamale back since it was covered in some type of congealed tomato sauce. Our waitress didn’t seem surprised and she kindly removed it from the bill. The veggies that came with the steak were over cooked and some were hot and some where cold. Maybe they cook them in advance and microwave them? Given the few options available at the hotels in the park, we were not expecting anything close to gourmet food, but this really disappointed. Next time we will plan further in advance and try El Tovar’s dining room or just go to one of the burger or pizza places. On the plus side, we had a couple very good cocktails and the waitress was nice.

We had a reservation. We shared the chicken salad and corn tamales (with seasoned, sauteed vegetables). Large portions and very tasty. Like a fine dining meal. One of us had a bloody mary - it looked delicious with the right amount of spice. They were out of vanilla ice cream, but we enjoyed the vanilla/chocolate/ crunch ice cream. Good service.

Adequate dining, not fine dining. When presented with the news that there is no steak to be had, and that the only remaining prime rib is either ‘medium-well done or well-done’, one is tempted to leave pronto. We opted to stay, rather than to drive out of Grand Canyon Village to Tusayan to dine. He had salmon and sides, I had chicken caesar salad. Both were adequate, nothing more. Every restaurant is struggling post-pandemic to get up and running again, I know. Just don’t be fooled into thinking that this one offers fine dining.

Firstly, dinner options in Grand Canyon Village are very limited to about 4/5 options, all of which seem to come under the same banner. We decided on the steakhouse one night as a treat. The service was very good but the food was average and at a price tag of $49 for a strip steak, potato and a few asparagus i would have expected better! Spaghetti shrimps were much better. As others have said there is no atmosphere or ambiance it’s a very plain cafe type restaurant with an unattractive open style kitchen. If you want a better atmosphere try El Tovar but again very expensive. The better option to experience ET is for breakfast which was excellent and obviously half the cost. The Rim is also lovely and peaceful at that time of the morning before the tourist train arrives.

Our dinner was decent - the heritage tacos were pretty good, and a nice counterpoint to the heavy portions at El Tovar the night before (although this restaurant also offers 3 different potato sides). Service was just okay. My husband is a big cheesecake fan, so he ordered dessert at the beginning with the rest of our order. Unfortunately, the server did not put one aside, and they ran out of cheesecake before we got to dessert. The lighting and decor feels a bit cafeteria-like.

We ate at the Arizona Steakhouse because it was complimentary with our tour. Our group was limited to 6 people for two sittings over two days. The service was acceptable from the waiter, with a “hocker” hanging out of his nose, but there was little enthusiasm with the service. We had the Southwestern Caesar Salad ($14) and the NY Strip ($47). No complaints with the taste of the food but I feel sorry for the poor folks paying the price. We drank water but alcohol is pricy. Get ready to drop $120-$180 if you’re a paying patron. Views are nice but there is no atmosphere here.

Terrible service. Our waitress, Brooke, ruined one sandwich, was rude and then took over 15 minutes to get a new bun. By then my dining partner was already done. When I asked to just have my meal, which was now cold, removed from the check she scoffed. Then she just placed the check on the table without a word or apology. Terrible. Arizona Steakhouse, you can do better than this.

Definitely not as advertised. Sorely in need of upgrades and staff training. Should also update website info. Reserved weeks in advance and took supposedly the only available reservation left on my Sweetheart’s birthday. Did get a table with a view as the place was only 40% occupied. Check in staff assured me they had a special ‘something’ in honor of the birthday. Never happened. Food was more Diner quality and served/presented with indifference by the server. I should have known better when I had to exchange the dirty silverware.

We didn’t have a reservation and only had a 10 min wait to be seated for dinner. We weee able to have a drink while waiting. The dining room has. Beautiful view of the Grand Canyon rim! We had the salmon and the tamales. Both were delicious. Our waiter was very friendly and came back to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Very nice experience!
