Had lunch at at St Bernard's today with my wife and 2 friends. One meal was wrong and to their credit they replaced it with the correct one as well as refunding the cost of that dish. 2 of us ordered their famous pie, where it's famous and why it is famous is beyond me as it was very average.... What a view, and I think they know it because meals are quite expensive, although simple and tasty. Unfortunately the service is almost non-existent. We carried our own dirty glasses back to the bar and abandoned our table after lunch as it was clear no one was coming to take our plates. Several other tables ended up putting their plates... More

Coming here for lunch? pfft. save your money and eat somewhere else. Do come here and have an overpriced drink and look at the view, take a selfie, but then move on once you have finish. We came here at Easter and ordered a Rib eye with chips and salad and added 5 prawns and sauce for 9.99... bargain yeah?... More

The ONLY good thing about this place is the view. No-one is at the entrance to direct you to a table or advise you although there are staff members scurrying about everywhere and you are left to wander around until you are 'lucky' enough to find one. After sitting for half an hour waiting for someone to take your order... More

Quaint old building, great atmosphere with timber interior and fantastic view. Real St Bernards guarding the entrance...Could this be the ultimate place in Mt Tamborine to stop? No keep going... The place has everything going for it as a tourist spot or a motorbike destination for the day. But...the management deem it a gold mine and charge you $21+ for... More

We arrived as a family for lunch, and were greeted by nobody. There is no-one and no sign to explain which area of the building to sit in (there is an inside, an outside, a bar). We figured we'd seat ourselves, and found a table outside. It then became apparent that you ordered inside (annoyingly, order and pay for drinks... More

We have visited St Bernard's several times but today were very disappointed by the food served. The chicken burger was just a burnt schnitzel with ham and cheese and had no taste, the Pumpkin tart was a flat piece of filo pastry with a few pieces of roasted pumpkin, olives and feta - not a tart at all and certainly... A place that never disappoints! Wonderful views over the Gold Coast in the distance if you can snag an outdoor table. All weather eating, great also in Winter with open wood fires. Nice meals, very friendly staff and always lovely to pat the St Bernard dogs who own the entry at the Hotel. A family favourite and somewhere that is... More

This hotel was recommended to us by the Information Centre and we certainly weren't disappointed. Views fantastic, lovely staff where nothing was too much trouble and the food was so fresh and beautiful. And the St Bernard dogs were a real treat. So so big and at only 9 months old one of them was, just lying there without a... More

Stopped here on our way up the mountain & it was well worth the stop. Beautiful old hotel well maintained with magnificent views. Lovely gardens which would be ideal for a wedding. The best part were the two St Bernard dogs that greeted you at the front door absolutely gorgeous & cute for big dogs.
