Cold, dismissive greeting (not welcome) by the single staff member, who appeared not to give a single fig about guests or good service. Weird “welcome” from the owner/host. The bar was not at all stocked - hardly any soft drinks, no snacks, nothing on draft...More

As is blatantly obvious this review has nothing to do with the restaurant and this person did not eat in the restaurant during their stay. Makes one despair...

Love staying at Bishops, the rooms are comfy and well designed and the breakfasts and dinners are lovely especially after a walk to Durdledoor

We booked at Bishops as we had never been in there before on our many trips to Dorset. When booking, the restaurant looked very nice and the signs outside stated they were Michelin rated in 2014, 2015 & 2016. We were expecting a lovely Sunday...More

Popped in with a colleague for lunch. Ordered tea and a sandwich. Tea great. Sandwich .... cheese .... well it was just a bog standard sandwich with supermarket sliced granary. Bagged salad, a few crisps and some pickle on the side. Worth the money .......More

We spent 3 days here with our elderly Mother. The Staff were absolutely exceptional. Very friendly and accommodating. There is obviously improvements that the owners are incorporating, which will enhance the overall experience. It is quite a unique establishment. We would love to stay here...More

Picked this place because the menu on the gate looked good. Got in to be told by the rather rude dirty looking man that more than half the menu wasn't available. Maybe we should have left at that point but he did tell us they...More
