Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s a little bit pricey, and the line sometimes might be long. But those tarts are so delicious that it’s worth the hassle.

OMG tarts. It would be a real sin to have less than one tart. These tarts are baked fresh. Crispy crust with fluffy cheese cake. Six tarts will set you back $15 cdn or $12 usd.

After the cheesecakes from Hokkaido, this cakes are second best. So they are pretty amazing! Freshly made, they are soooo tasty! Can't eat enough!

These cheese tarts are a must try when in Shinjuku. The shop is just inside Lumine Est. Shinjuku station is a nightmare to navigate, I found it easiest to walk outside in the street to the Lumine Est section and then go inside. I recommend the basic cheese tart. The base is crisp and the cheese is an oozy delight. Best eaten warm but cold will do.

The cakes are pretty and come in a nice package as well, but unfortunately they are not very tasty. They taste very rich in your mouth. You can find much better sweet options in Tokyo than cheese tarts.

One of the many little cheese tart places in Tokyo offering lovely creamy tarts that aren’t too sweet!

My favorite cheese tarts. They are so different from the Pablo tarts and so much better. They are very rich and a little bit more creamy in the middle. I recommend buying a box of 6 bc you will keep eating these. They keep pretty well. We took some to go and ate them hours later. They were still delicious.

I enjoyed the cheese tart I got very much. The shop is inside Shinjuku station by Lumine Est. It was not busy when I was there on a Thursday afternoon. Will return.

Passed the shop several times and it was always busy but on this occasion decided to buy these little cakes. So pleased we did they were excellent. Two different flavours but both very very good. Do not miss out on these they are warm, cheesy and delightful to eat. Highly recommend you buy and eat.

Very simple place with two kinds of cheese tarts and fast service. We went back multiple times because the cheese tarts have the perfect texture and taste. Can't recommend them enough!

The caption says it all. Pretty good price and I would eat 10 in one sitting if I didn't care about the calories. The best dessert in Shinjuku and possibly the only food I've rated 10/10 so far on my trip

This is a very very small takeaway outlet. It was recommended by someone and hence we decided to visit for dessert. Not knowing what to expect we thought it might be a big dessert place, but is actually a very small takeaway shop. The taste of the cheese tarts is very unique.

The cheese tart did not disappoint! So cheesy and delicious. But two is more than enough for me. The location is inside the mall.

Shinjuku
Shinjuku is the commuting capital of Tokyo, and contains the busiest train station in the world. To the west, there's an office district with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office at its center. To the east, there’s a district with long-established department stores, cinemas and theaters. Shinjuku Gyoen is a park originally built as the garden for the Imperial Household. It is quite famous as a venue for cherry-blossom viewing in March and April. In Shinjuku, many restaurants operate all night, and districts such as Omoide Yokocho (Memory Lane) or Shinjuku Golden Machi have back streets filled with tiny restaurants and bars that reflect each owner’s unique taste and style.
