Food and ambience

Ise Sueyoshi is a private Japanese restaurant in Tokyo. Placed between Roppongi and Hiroo. We serving traditional "Kaiseki"style Japanese cuisine with English guide. The owner trained in "Kikunoi" restaurant. After trained, spend a year in Tronto,Canada and trained around the world. Returning to Japan with a desire to 'disseminate Japanese cuisine as a part of this country's culture', he headed back to his native Mie to form connections with farmers and other producers. Blessed with the ample fruits of both the mountains and the sea, the prefecture has long been known as a treasure trove of foodstuffs. He finally opened his own place in 2015, focusing on ingredients from the ancient city of Ise.

This is not your usual Japanese restaurant! You tell the very nice chef and his wife what you like and don't like and pay for your experience before you arrive for dinner. There are only 4-5 seats, and it's a sushi bar setting. The courses...More

A very special experience for our first time in Tokyo. Each course was better than the last and the sake pairings really made the meal. Food, service and atmosphere were top notch and we can not recommend this restaurant highly enough.

To start with an (from my point of view) obvoius but very important remark: Ise Sueyoshi is not restaraunt in the common understanding. It is therefore not the right place to celebrate (Russian) birthday or other parties. It is a food temple, where local food...More

We took a restaurant trained 14yo. They asked that we not bring a primary school aged child though. The meal takes a while and is quite formal.
