How is Izakaya Sanzoku rated?

Me and my compatriots visited this glorious izakaya when we were visiting last year (10/19) for the Rugby World Cup. The typhoon was heading towards us providing the foundation for some lively discussion with the gent that was serving us. He asked us to write...a review. Well, after completely forgetting the name of the establishment I have finally found it through the power of google maps. The fact I am back after the best part of a year should hopefully be enough to convince you to make the trip here. All of the dishes served were amazing, tasty and delivered quickly. We were all suffering from food envy when our meals were delivered, never-mind about the sizable menu we were selecting from. The thing that made it 10x better was the price of not only the food, but also the beer. Luckily our hotel was down a slight gradient, meaning we all rolled home very happy.More

Loved everything about the place!

The food here was sensational. Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff were great too. An absolute must try in the Akasaka area

Deliciously cozy!

We got pulled from the host into this side laneway gem, and could not have been happier, everything so so yummy! We overdid with the order and ended up ordering 5 dishes, but no regrets!

Best meal and atmosphere

I picked Izakaya Sanzoku for our dinner after seeing all of the positive reviews online. It well surpassed my expectations. We were met with such a beautiful greeting from staff who spoke very good English. Our server was amazing and had such good conversations with...us about his time in Australia! We ordered a lot of different items off the menu and each and every one was as amazing as the last! Seriously recommend trying this if youre in Akasaka. Its off the main streets and wasnt too busy when we were there. Literally such a good place to spend our night!! Very reasonably priced too, though we did eat a lot!More

Excellent place; good food; great staff.

Excellent place. Lovely food, great staff and very welcoming. We ate here twice during a week in Tokyo. On the first night they didn’t have G&T but by the second they had gone the extra mile to get done in. Back again in Tokyo and...will go there this evening.More

Amazing food, great service

We ordered the ramen and stir fry chicken and vegetables with dumplings on the side. The food was delicious and the staff were amazing, so friendly including the owner. Would definitely recommend for a great dinner in Akasaka :)

Lively Japanese Tavern

Izakaya Sanzoku was one of the most fun dining experiences we had in Tokyo! An authentic Japanese tavern with a cozy atmosphere and a friendly staff who spoke English well.

Delicious food and sake. A

Delicious food and sake. A short turn into an alley next to a boutique hotel. Staff are at the entrance to assist. We were lost and a young man came to get us after a friendly local called the restaurant for us. Ditto to all...the comments about super kind and friendly staff. Nice customers as well and friendly chef adds to a great vibe. The best grilled mackerel and the sashimi was sooooo fresh and yummy. All at a very low price point. A super fun night out. Highly recommended.More

The Real Deal

Very warm welcome; feels very authentic; food was decent, but not the reason for going. A little hard to find. Down the stairs on a side-street.
