When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Where do we begin. Over the course of 8 or 9 days we dined here 3 times, once for dinner, and twice for lunch. We can't say enough positive things about the legendary Vinoteca Centro Storico. We first visited in September, and again during our...trip back to Langhe earlier this month. Alessio and Stephy are 2 of our favorite people in Langhe. They're kind, genuine, and have a great sense of humor. The food is consistently incredible, and the wine list is extremely extensive, with a huge by the glass selection, this is a must-visit for any wine lover visiting the area. The hams are hand sliced by Alessio himself, and are the best we've encountered anywhere in the world. Be sure to try the new homemade gelato, it's delicious! Be sure to make a reservation, because seating fills up very quickly, even for lunch. We look forward to returning very soon. :)More

The boss is very unfriendly. The waitress though is kind :) Unfortunately you re not welcome if you only want to have a glas of wine.

We ate hear approximately 2 weeks ago for dinner while staying in Verduno. This was one of our first meals of our trip, and we enjoyed it so much that we ended up returning for lunch 3 more times during our stay in Langhe of...approximately 1 week!. In this time we had the chance to taste a ton of different dishes on the menu, and all of them were amazing. Our favorites were the veal Milanese, the salumi platter, and Alessio's amazing selection of prosciutto's. The wine list is extremely extensive particularly in regard to local wines of the Langhe region as well as Champagne, and the by the glass selection is enormous, and priced very fairly. Alessio is awesome, as are all the staff member, and they are part of what make the meal even more enjoyable. We stood in Verduno for a little over 1 week, and this was definitely one of our favorite places. We will definitely be back very soon. Highly recommend this restaurant, especially to wine lovers! What a perfect dinner from beginning to end.More

We used to love this place for the good food, great selection of wines and Alessio’s smiles and service. Today however, the food and wind was overshadowed by Alessio’s bad mood. I should have taken the hint when I called to book a table. The...moaning on the phone when we wanted a table for six. It seemed difficult, but fine, we would come. Then when we arrived the smiles we were used to were gone. And Alessio was so grumpy during the whole lunch. Not just towards us, but at all guests. We had a small baby with us, which we also notified him about when we booked the table, but this seemed difficult for him. He suggested the baby could go sleep in the car as it took up too much space in the restaurant. Unfortunately we won’t be back to what was once our go to place in Serralunga.More

The host was extremely unfriendly and derogatory towards his customers, of which we think is primordial in restaurant services to be hospital and friendly. The primi were really nice and tasty, the second however not so much: steak was bland, the potatoes were overfried and...the chicken had little meat. The lunch was included in our Vespa tour, as this should have been a good restaurant but we overpaid way too much (we should have had a fixed price) and we did not have a pleasant experience at all, we never felt at ease. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.More

We came for a 3pm lunch (open all day, which suits us). The setting, with just three tables (maybe more upstairs) and an open kitchen, is great. The food was very mixed. The vitello tonnato was ok, not great, the burrata nice, the ravioli excellent,...but the tajarin al ragu was by miles the worst we had in our week in the Lange. For the most typical of standard dishes in the area, this was really really dry. Maybe they had run out of ragu, but this was really poor - needed a heavy covering of olive oil to save it at all. The pasta was stuck together in clumps in places. Really really poor execution. Otherwise we had a nice time.More

We returned for our annual pilgrimage to Alessio's place and we were not disappointed. It is busy, bustling and a fun place to be. As usual we gorged on lovely charcuterie, pasta and meats with interesting wine choices. A la prossima volta!

It is not so much the food, it is great, but it is the wine, the people, the atmosphere. It is like when you make the perfect shot in golf, you just know it is perfect. This is for sure a bucket list visit for...wine lovers.More

Our wine guide brought us here while tasting Barolo in the area. It’s absolutely authentic and we were the only foreigners there. We had a bottle of local wine that was terrific. The starter was a thinly sliced roast veal with a paste of tuna,...mayonnaise and capers (delicious). Entrees were a wonderful ravioli in butter and olive oil (fantastic) and a spaghetti with meat sauce. Even the breads were wonderful. The restaurant is locally famous and full daily so count yourself lucky if you manage a reservation.More

Love this place. Owner Alessio is a great guy with encyclopedic knowledge of wine. He even remembered what we drank last visit 18 months ago Oh yeah, food is also great!

The proprietor of this vinoteca/restaurant is famous, and rightly so! A tiny place, serving around 25, seated in two storeys, plus, weather permitting, a few tables outdoors. Here, on offer, are exviting wines and Champagne, cold cuts of the highest quality from Spain and Italy,...a salad, some cheese, a couple of really good pastas, two mains and a couple of desserts. Simple but awesome. Extremely popular and a must to visit!!More

I've enjoyed a memorable dinner and on a more recent trip, lunch here. The owners are wonderful and exceptionally knowledgeable in the wines of the world. The food is great (small and well chosen menu). There's a wine shop around the corner. The setting is...historic and the place is small (in the best possible way - like a jewel box or being in a friend's dining room).More

I have heard that some people say that this joint has become to touristy. That's not right at all. When we had lunch there today, the place was packed and we were the only foreigners. Their famous mixed salumi was heavenly! They also have great...pasta and the jewel in the crown is their panna cotta. It is out of this world! It alone is worth the trip from Norway. Almost. We never grow tired of this place. The owner is also an expert on wines. And he has lots of it. You will never regret a visit here!More

We returned to this restaurant after a visit last year. Just as good we remembered. We ate upstairs this time and really enjoyed our meal. Great pasta but the star here is the charcuterie! We got a selection of salumi and prosciutto. So good. Very...nice wine list as well.More

Since it is the summer season, I assume so. But why assume when I recommend that you contact them to make sure. I was there in October and March and they were open then.
