This place serves authentic Sri Lankan food and the taste was so homely. Unlimited Vegetarian meal for just LKR400 and you can add any non-veg curry at a pocket-friendly extra cost. Hot and oh so good food on a sunny afternoon was what we were...craving for.More

Buffet is 400LKR which can't be beaten. Variety of vegetarian dishes. Enjoyed lentils the most. Handy location if you are staying east of main centre

The Dhana curry pot is a buffet style restaurant serving delicious homemade vegetable curries together with rice and popaddoms for the crazy price of 400 rupees, about £1.50.Obviously a family concern with mum keeping the pots topped up and dad serving the drinks,no alcohol but great...fresh pineapple juice. A great experience would recommend, only downside it's next to a very busy road.More

The food is amazing. You pay for a plate and you can choose whatever you want, it’s an authentic local place. I enjoyed the curry a lot there, much better than in other places I have been. Pumpkin was my favourite.

Honestly, I am not sure why there are such high reviews for this place. No doubt it is cheap and the food was alright, but it was all far from great. When I travel I do also like to find the authentic local spots, but...this place was just budget instead of authentic. There also weren't any locals there so it feels like they are just appealing to tourists looking for a home cooked atmosphere. Don't get me wrong. Everything was fine and if you are backpacking/travelling on a budget I would highly recommend it for reasonable food at a low cost. But if you are hoping to find a hidden gem with great food you will be disappointedMore

We ate here last week after reading reviews and were not disappointed. Don't expect a 5* location, but do expect excellent food and very friendly staff. It is right on the road and you can watch the busy world go by! There were flies trying...to get to the food, but the lids are only taken off for a second whilst you serve yourself and the staff make sure to swot any away. Honestly... I'm a bit high maintenance but I'm glad I didn't let this put me off as the food was lovely and it was such a bargain at less than 2£ per person! I would suggest you try everything but the dhal, soya and jackfruit were our faves and we went back for more!More

I was starving after coming from the long bus ride from Ella, found this place on tripadvisor. Serving vegetarian buffet for only 400rs, add a meat dish for 600rs in total. Totally worth coming!! Get in there early, I was there at 6.20pm, relatively empty,...by the time i left at 7pm, whole place was full!More
