Bramley is a neighbourhood restaurant nestled in the heritage town of Abbeyleix. Husband & wife; Sam & Emily Moody have undertaken a careful and considered refurbishment of this historic space to create a relaxed-elegant dining room re-capturing the feel of the late Victorian/early Georgian building.An updated kitchen will celebrate Irish food using the very best of Laois’ larder & exceptional Irish suppliers. The menu is simple, seasonal, exciting and diverse. Everybody is welcome to dine at Bramley; a friendly, relaxed & knowledgeable team allow guests to enjoy an at-ease Lunch or Dinner experience. Had a fantastic meal in Bramley. Highly recommended to anyone passing through County Laois. Every detail is a level or two above your average restaurant. The food is exceptional, and the service, comfort levels, and ambience are excellent. It might seem expensive at first glance, but in truth it's superb value for the quality on offer, with lots of bonus morsels delivered throughout. The most obvious plus points are the quality of ingredients, with an emphasis on local sourcing, and the skill in the kitchen which shines through in every mouthful. The chef coming out to chat to each table was a very welcome and appreciated touch. I would have given six stars if the option was available. Can't wait to return.

Had read about Bromley and was looking forward to trying it out for lunch. And was so glad it didn’t disappoint.
Beautiful room with a lovely sense of calm. The diners were all beautifully looked after by Kasia who welcomed everyone in like old friends. She was friendly and knowledgeable and I feel a great asset to the restaurant.
The food: in a word - wonderful. The lunch menu is small but everything was very tasty. The cauliflower soup was great and accompanied by really good brown bread.
The sausage roll was big and meaty but the star for me was the fish of the day…ray with salt and vinegar potatoes and delicious cabbage…an absolute steal for €19.50.
We got to try all 3 desserts….hard to pick a favourite. And definitely have a coffee. Supplied by local roastery the good bean company, it was superb. Kasia brought out a bag for us to photograph and told us we could pick some up in the SuperValu across the road.
Looking forward to a return visit.

Tried the “Simple Supper” menu which is 2 or 3 courses available 6-7pm Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Amazing value for such exquisite and well presented food - €27.50 for 2 courses and €32.50 for 3 courses. Ambience, décor and service all added to a memorable occasion. The extra touches – the complimentary amuse mouche, the “little cup of soup” appetizer, the beautiful bread and butter (an extra portion of this was offered and gratefully accepted) made this an experience I would love to try again and soon.

If you’re thinking about going to this restaurant you definitely won’t be disappointed they have the friendliest staff that makes the who experience a memorable evening.
We got shown to are table and met a wonderful young Man named Liam the restaurant was beautiful full of beautiful details which set the scene perfectly for our night.
The food was art every dish was well presented and bursting with flavour this was not just a meal it was exceptional
We will definitely be back in the coming weeks

The food was absolutely fantastic. A table for 4 enjoyed the tasting menu on Saturday 23/3. Really impressive and a good comparison with Dublin Tasting Menus. Variety, flavours, presentation and absolutely service- all amazing.
Great knowledge on wines from sommelier with great quality without Dublin additional supplement. Not cheap -
However we would say value for money. Well done 👏

Top class from start to finish. I would highly recommend a visit, Abbeyleix is a stunning little village and it has a world class restaurant.
Scallops for started - delicious, a Trio of Beef (Special) for main, soufflé for dessert, and the bread and soup did I mention them? It was delicious, 100% returning visitor. I'd keep it a secret only it would be fair to the superb staff and genius chefs ! Just wow!

We spent a few days in Ireland to celebrate a friend’s very special birthday. The highlight of our trip was a visit to Bamley. We had the taster menu, every course was beautifully presented and, most importantly, absolutely delicious. We couldn’t fault the food or the service. Thank you Sam and the team, we will be back!

Good neighbourhood restaurant. Went here for dinner and was very good. The venison tartare starter and Loin and belly main course were particularly tasty. polenta chips side were bit oily ,but overall good standard of food, good atmosphere and good service

Located on the main street of the lovely town of Abbeyleix you will find a gem called “Bramley”. You will find it in the Michelin Guide for Ireland.
Nice and cosy interior, excellent staff and divine dishes.
We had the tasting menu, and the 8 courses were not only very well presented, but heavenly delicious. Free local produce from around Laois made for a wonderful experience, from the first starter right through to the two deserts which rounded up a gourmet evening.
We will definitely be back.

It's rare for me to write a review, but an exception here. The food was some of the best I have ever tasted. A fantastic celeriac soup, followed by a lamb main course of exquisite quality. Others had pork and cod. Each meal was beautifully prepared and the taste of every mouthful was wonderful. A nice looking dining room, but simple decor and full of chatter. Highlight of trip to Ireland.

As good a meal as I've ever had.
We went for a birthday celebration and from start to finish the service was top notch. It was both attentive, professional while not over the top of stuffy.
We had the tasting menu and from start to finish the food was outrageously good.
I had heard amazing things about the food but won't lie I was still blown away.
Can't wait to get back soon and explore the A La Carte menu.

We enjoyed a lovely relaxed lunch. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the food was delicious. The quality of ingredients, cooking and presentation were superb making this lovely restaurant well worth a visit. Felt it was excellent value and looking forward to returning.

We ate at Bramley restaurant on Saturday night. From the welcoming of the staff, the Tasting Menu (highlight dishes : the Quail dish and praline chocolate dessert), and a wine flight to match our courses, all were superb. Kasha, the Head waitress was friendly and so professional. Sam, Chef/owner of this exceptional restaurant came to see us at the end of the meal. What an amazing experience.

Bramley is a great place to have a special dinner with friends. The staff are friendly and professional and all are very welcoming. We were happy with all our dishes, with local food cooked to perfection. We would definitely recommend Bramley for a night out.

We dropped in Valentines night. Incredible food and service with a fully packed house.
We travelled over an hour to Bramley, a small journey for such good food/experience.
10/10 - keep up the fantastic work!
