I LOVE the fact that I can go to "Turq" as we call it, and KNOW there will be so many dishes I can eat. As a vegetarian we are so un-catered for STILL in this country...you guys knock it out of the park...keep up...the amazing work!! 👏 ❤️More

Perfect! We fell into this small cafe starving and cranky after a longer than expected walk. We had toasted cheese sandwiches and chips x 4. Perfect sized portions and so very very tasty. We are semi vegetarian so were delighted with the other options for...when we will be back (and we will definitely be back). Our dog was delighted that he was welcome too. It’s a ramshackle shabby chic place in absolutely the best way. Simple good food with friendly service 10/10More
Over priced . Small portions. Very average sambos. Definitely will not be back. Pitsa not available though advertised on board.
I visited Turquoise Cafe and Pizzeria this afternoon. It is local to me and I like visiting it. I decided to try the Risotto dish new on the menu today. It was one of the most delicious risotto dishes I have ever eaten. It is...full of good healthy ingredients and this cafe has really opened my mind to sampling vegan dishes and so far I am thoroughly enjoying the experience. I am delighted to recommend this cafe as it is friendly warm dog friendly and serves delicious vegan dishes with a creative twist. The organic wine is well worth tasting too!!! I am looking forward to my next visit. Well done to the chef and all the friendly staff.More
This cafe might seem a little out of the way, but it's worth the trip to get there. The perfect place to go for a nice cup of coffee and delicious vegetarian food. The place itself is cozy and welcoming, with lots of seating inside...and out. The farmers market is good with a nice mix of vendors, it's still pretty new so getting established. Love the wellness stores next door too.More
Stopped here on a rainy afternoon to eat. Looked at the menu board & my friend & I chose a jackfruit burger & gnocchi. Strangely there were no prices on the board & we were both a little shocked to hear that one was 16...euro & the other 18. For a cafe/pub, in the countryside at 4pm with no meat involved. The mark up on that seemed a bit much. Being a veggie i get tired of being charged meat prices for vegetables. (There were no pizzas available.) The jackfruit in the burger was too hot (spice wise) for my liking & it was piled on. The chips had a lot of salt on them. The gnocchi was nice but for the price there wasn't all that much. The table was in the bar was a bit dark & not very cosy. We ate with our coats on. It could have been nice if the stove was lit. Same out the front by the till. We had tea on the large sofas but the stove was not lit, despite logs being beside it, maybe it was earlier? Had a nice, rich brownie. If it's a respite from the rain & wind you're after it's an expensive pit stop on the cool (temperature wise) side.More
It's unusual for a restaurant in such a remote location to offer only vegetarian food. We randomly stopped there on a whim while traveling from Wexford to Dublin via Wicklow Mountains. Wow. What a hidden gem. I am (myself) a vegetarian so the fact it...was a vegetarian restaurant was an added bonus for me. My meat-eating family weren't quite so impressed, UNTIL they tried the food. The Parmesan Gnocci was absolutely outstanding. The burgers were perfect. This restaurant has managed to change the way my kids think about vegetarian food. The staff were friendly and informative. The environment was lovely - really cosy with lots of lovely artwork on display.More
This is a new restaurant in the clubhouse of the Djouce Woods golf club which closed a number of years ago. I visited with my hiking club in July and had a very good post hike lunch. I would not normally choose any vegetarian option...from a menu. However there is no choice here. I visited with my wife last week and she was amazed by the quality and presentation of our two meals. I went with the Pretty Basic Curry, my wife opted for the Natures Plate. Both were superb. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a meal going to/coming from Glendalough. It is only 20 minutes from South Dublin and worth going just for the lunch.More
2nd visit: first a few months ago was poor, but decided to give the benefit of the doubt as the place was fairly newly opened and didn't review. Today we stopped for coffee & croissants- (which were served without knife, butter or jam or offer...of the same) and when bitten into they were both raw inside. We got them replaced and second time they were also uncooked. We watched a member of staff refill the sugar bowls. She dropped a sugar lump, picked it up from the floor and put it back into the box. Sorry Turquoise cafe: but we won't be back. To concur with a previous reviewer- the cafe needs to get its act together before something more serious than a bad review happens.More
Lovely setting and the quality of food seems great but it was disappointing visit to the Turquoise Cafe yesterday for us, we ordered two sandwiches and a coffee. My partner got their sandwich, which had an olive stone in it when he bit into it....If we were on our own we would have brought it to their attention but we had brought friends out for the day and didn't want to create an awkward situation. However in hindsight, I feel the need to give this feedback as it could have been a child taking a bite of the sandwich, and this could have ended up a serious incident. A young lad called across the bar to our table to check if dishes coming out were are order. My coffee arrived and I was left without my toasted sandwich, my partner had finished the rest of his by now . When we asked where my food was we were nonchalantly told my sandwich had been given away to someone else. I was offered a croissant while I waited, which I declined as I just wanted what I ordered. I waited nearly an hour for my sandwich in the end and when it arrived it included two items I had asked for it without. Again, this is very poor food preparation and does not consider people with allergies. I have an intolerance to pine nuts which can be in pesto so I routinely ask for food without it. The Turquoise Cafe would be advised to get it together before they are dealing with something more serious than a negative review on Tripadvisor.More
Dropped in on the way back from a walk around Vartry Reservoir with the family. Lovely range of mini pizzas, toastie sandwiches and delicious soup. Coffee was yummy too. Quick and friendly service, relaxed atmosphere- characterful, cosy and comfy.
Had a lovely experience when visiting Turquoise Cafe. I am a vegetarian and I LOVED that they didn't offer any meat - I could choose what I wanted! We also enjoyed delicious, dark coffee with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Highly Reccomend!
