Extremely popular and very affordable! Lovely local cafe, with all the obvious menu basics and a few delicious specials. Nicely obliging team who will always customised your order for you. I've never been disappointed for breakfast or lunch.

Just had breakfast here with a friend and it was absolutely beautiful, good quality food generous portions and the scones are also beautiful and the lady running it couldn't be more nice or helpful, we will definitely be going back.
Two of us had a lovely salad cheese sandwich here today , made on lovely bread , really delicious. Also had an americano with it , nice coffee served in a mug , also the sandwich was accompanied with a Greek salad . No crisps which...I think are a cop out, and a lazy way of doing things. Will be back , I highly recommend this place, a lot of places could learn from them . Anna byrneMore
Had heard about the great toasted sandwiches and finally got to sample one today. It was absolutely delicious. Warm friendly atmosphere with great service. Our dog even got a treat! Will be back very soon.
So so bad.. Can't believe a place like this still exists . Not very clean. One poor lad trying to clear tables and take orders and waiting so long for food . I ordered quiche disgusting one out of a box and tiny and a...salad which mainly consisted of a huge plate of Coleslaw. The tea was cold by the time the food arrived . The tea pot needed the bin lid didn't even close and the tea spilt all over the table . We couldn't leave this place quick enough but had to wait ages to pay !More
Only one table was being occupied when we arrived. However 3 others were full of dirty dishes. We had sausage rolls and salad. Neither were good and the salad was NOT fresh. The toilets were the major fault. Not clean and in poor condition. Food...prepared in this environment is poor practice.More
Passing through today and dropped in for something to eat. Yet again I have to say the food was top class. I ordered a simple meal of fried eggs bacon and hand cut chips Bacon was cooked to perfection along with the eggs and also...the hand cut chips were to die for. Actually hand cut and that was clear to see. For a small dessert I ordered a fresh scone with jam and fresh cream. Yep first class again. Hot, fresh and a proper scone size wise. The staff are excellent and whilst there a customers small children were given some marshmallows to take away free .Nice touch that and unusual in todays times. If anyone rates this this poorly they must think McDonalds is a great place to eat. Enough said as the person cooking the food is a qualified Chef .And a good one.More
We just stumbled upon this bistro and it really was a find. We were so cold and hungry having done a bracing walk on Djouce. We got a lovely warm welcome and our food and coffee was just lovely. Our waitress was so friendly and...efficient. The place isn’t posh which makes it possible to go in with walking shoes.More
Tried breakfast here with my son this morning as the roundwood pub that do great food was closed. The breakfast was so so bad simply inedible. It is hard to imagine the incompetence of the individual in the kitchen ( who was not wearing a...mask) to send this type of stuff out to the customer. OMG AVOID THIS PLACEMore
For 9e you get a feed like no other. Pancakes are big, thick and fluffy, plenty of maple syrup and cream to go with it. Delicious. Will be back!
Good stop for cyclists. Cappuccino very nice and carrot cake portion was decent size albeit a bit bland. Friendly and efficient service
Overall, very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. They seem to have made absolutely zero effort on any covid19 guidelines. The cafe and especially the bathroom is grimy and dirty. Food was mediocre at best. Won't be going back
Just stopped here for a coffee one day, and was happy with the experience. There is plenty of seating inside and a small number of tables and chairs outside. The friendly welcome of the girl who served me left a good impression and motivated me...to write the review. The coffee was pretty good too. A good choice on the menu and Sunday roast at the weekend. I’ll try something more substantial next time, as I remember from previous visit, that they do great homemade chips!!🙂More
I had the blueberry pancakes and a chai latte. Both were delicious and I am sad I only got to eat here one time! Would recommend!
I called in today with two friends for a light lunch/very late breakfast. It had been my second visit to this Cafe as I was impressed with my first visit. It is a busy place and understandable to see why. The mix of people were...from local people, hill walkers and cyclists and my group which were in need of good food and service after a long morning on the hills. If you are really hungry I would advise the full breakfast. It is a full breakfast and I mean a real bellybuster.Extremely tasty as all ingredients,I believe are sourced locally and were cooked to perfection. On my visit today I got the french toast to try it out for a change. The dish was presented with fried banana, lovely crispy bacon, maple syrup and fresh cream. The french toast was done to perfection and I cannot remember the last time I tasted as good. The Chef obviously has a flair for good food and presentation. The Cafe is open plan and the kitchen likewise so you can see your food being prepared. The Staff are very smiling and attentive. Nice to see that as it shows to me a well run happy place to be a part of. The decor is warm and welcoming and again the food was excellent today. Ill be back every time I will be in the locality without a doubt.More
