We spent a few days in Roundwood and ate in this Restaurant/Pub on a number of occasions. We were always delighted with our mains which ranged from chicken, salmon, curry, steak and beef burger and the desserts were to die for!!The staff were really friendly,...attentive and efficient. We were particularly impressed by Andzejs. His friendliness and attention to detail was amazing. Both he and the other great staff made our visit very enjoyable and memorable. We will definitely be back again when we're in Roundwood - a lovely part of the world!!More

We only stopped in here for a tea and coffee on the way home from Glendalough. The reason I feel I need to post this review is because the staff were so nice. My wife secretly asked could they serve us a Brownie for our...daughters birthday. The two young lads working there came out with the dessert, candle and singing Happy Birthday which mad my 10 year old daughters day. The young lady serving us drinks was also very polite and courteous. Coffee was nice and the Brownies were nice. Atmosphere was good too and dinner on other tables looked nice so I'll try when I'm next in that area. Thanks to the staffMore

We were a group of adults and children eating there for dinner. The kids portions were large but very expensive for what it was. There was only 1 option on the menu that catered for a vegan & 1 veggie burger with halloumi cheese. I...order the veggie curry. I came out with half a bowl of rice & some child. It consisted of 8/9 pieces of vegetables which I had to fish out of bland curry ‘soup’. It was a pathetic offering. When asked by the waiter how was your meal I told him how I found it but I heard nothing more from the chef or staff. While we enjoyed ourselves I would not eat there again.More

Had an evening meal here with my husband after a lovely day in Wicklow. I recommend the Devil's Glen waterfall walk (4.8km) and the nearby Vartry Reservoir walks. We both ordered the Cajun Chicken Burger and chips. Our waitress was Spanish (I think) and she was...indeed very pleasant and attentive. When our food arrived I just knew by the look of the chips that they were way overcooked but I made the mistake of saying nothing, kind of hoping the entire basket of them wasn't overcooked but they were! If we had complained our meal would have been delayed and perhaps our burgers would have been reheated? So, we stayed silent. Our burgers were very tasty and the chicken was of good quality. We followed up with desserts ... fruit pavlova and apple crumble served with two coffees. Excellent coffee, served hot and delicious desserts. When my husband paid our bill at the bar he was asked if everything was okay so he told the barman that the chips were way overcooked. The reply he got was ... "Thanks mate, good to know that" And that was that! We weren't looking for a discount but a more sympathetic and/or professional response would have been welcome. Will I eat in the Coach House again? Yes I probably will hoping that the overcooked chips were a once off mistake. Lesson learned .... if it's not right say so before you eat!More

I ordered the Beef and Guinness Stew. It was one of the specials of the day. It came topped with a large dollop of creamy mash which was nice. When I dug into the stew, I discovered it was full of baby potatoes and very...very little meat or vegetables. Talk about potato overload. The stew needs an overhaul. Take out the baby potatoes and add more meat & veg. My friends enjoyed their dish though...a chicken burger. The staff were friendly and the setting was nice.More

We stopped off in Roundwood after walking nearby and having read reviews online of the Coach House, we called in for some food. This was the first time experiencing indoor dining so we were a tad cautious. We were greeted and asked for our Vaccination...record and photo ID which were we were happy to show. Neither of us eat meat so I ordered the Fish and Chips and my partner the Halloumi Burger. Both portions were large, really tasty and presented well. Staff were eager to please and checked on us often. All staff were wearing masks so I wore mine put of respect, when I wasnt eating. Tables were spaced out and our section we had to ourselves. We'd highly recommend this restaurant. After leaving and a couple of hours later, we found my husband had left his wallet behind. A quick phonecall and thankfully it was still there. Definately recommend and would certainly go back.More
