Lovely pub in curracloe excellent beer garden in the summer months, not a great selection of beer taps quite limited for a hotel bar but still would recommend and return again

Amazing! The evening waiter, absolutely lovely, friendly and very informative. He made us feel very comfortable. The food is delicious. Burguers are so well served. The chips are one of the best i have eaten. The chicken with bacon and cheddar is absolutely delicoous. Totally worth...itMore
Excellent fast service . Perfect Rib Eye Steak cooked properly . Best battered fish I've tasted . Sunday carvery is busy for good reason . I don't think these places survive without serving good food . Ate there twice in a week .
I believe a new chef has just started working here and the quality of the food is the best it has ever been. Definitely worth a visit. A new menu with good choice and very reasonable prices. Service is always friendly and prompt. Ideal for...families, friends, larger groups or couples. The Tavern is also very close to Curracloe beach and the Raven forest, both amazing places, so you could head for a walk beforehand to work up an appetite or could go for a walk afterwards to walk off those calories! Only thing that can sometimes let the place down is the atmosphere - it’s quite an open space so if it’s not overly busy it can be a little quiet in the restaurant.More
Went back here after a walk on the fabulous Curracloe Beach nearby. We had a very pleasant meal here in November but this time it wasn’t as good I’m afraid. Since Jan we have been vegetarian where possible and thus are limited by menus these...days. We went for the vegetarian noodles. Unfortunately the veggies were all burned and lacking any real flavour. Son had sausage and chips but the sausages were quite poor quality and the chips weren’t the freshest. He left most of it behind him. The coffee was awful - worst I have had in some time. Need to invest in a decent coffee machine and ditch the current one. It is in a prime position and will have lots of footfall from nearby beach. Good coffee is a must and I would think twice about dropping in here for a caffeinated beverage in the future. Food average this time, coffee terrible , staff lovely.More
dropped in here after a wonderful walk on the nearby Curracloe beach and Raven woodland walk. There were a few heads in the bar and we bumbled in with babys and hyperactive toddler in tow. Staff were pleasant and helpful and even replaced a diet...coke spilt inadvertently soon after arrival on the table. We had steak sandwich, ploughmans, chicken supreme and the chicken pitta, LArge portions, excellent fresh homemade chips. Steak Sandwich was outstanding and the chicken supreme an excellent dish as well. Overall very impressive considering it was Friday evening and don't think kitchen was too busy at this time so this was great quality food to be putting out. Will be back on our return to this lovely area.More
The hotel itself is fine. Rooms are basic but clean. Staff very friendly, hard workers and do wat you ask. The bar food is good but was at a wedding and the starters were not nice. The bacon salad way to salty and veg soup...was 2 thick and 2 much cream on top. The salmon was beautiful though. The hotel restrooms were clean. There is a lift in hotel. 4/5 overall.More
As always a fabulous visit to the hotel Curracloe, welcoming chat, perfect Guinness and all finished off with a great steak sandwich with chips! 3rd visit this holiday. Looking forward to coming again already. Perfect, perfect!!
We ate as a group of seven in this restaurant last week. The restaurant is casual atmosphere, pleasant and clean. The menu was varied and prices would be mid range. Service was prompt for the kids and slower for adults. No member of staff checked...on our table after initial service. A member of our party had to ask for a glass of milk four times before getting it. Clear away service was extremely slow to the point that dessert was being served with main course plates still on the table. The food was very nice but just spoiled a little by the lack of service and efficiency.More
Stopped there for luch on the way home from beach, inside of the restaurant looks very bad we didnt like it so rather sat outside, you have to pay for the food before you get it if you wanna sit outside, some benches were so old that i...was worry they not gonna hold me if i sit on them,so we sat around big table with sun umbrella, few minutes lates some ignorant man joined us and started smoking we told him to go away as we are non smokers and said he will stay because its outside and he is allowed to smoke.Food was avarage nothing special, next time we rather stop in Wexford for food.More

Without doubt a Gem of a Restaurant .. food very good and staff so friendly it makes it a wonderful experience. The Bar is a typical Irish bar quaint in every way. A must to experience a delight to visit I cannot fault it in...anyway a ten out of ten.More
Stopped here for lunch recently. The bar is dowdy, dreary and dusty,we felt like leaving but my friend wanted to take a chance. We sat on soiled chairs, not a good portent and ordered stuffed chicken and ham plus roast beef both accompanied by"seasonal veg"and potatoes.Less than three minutes...had elapsed when we were presented with the meals.DREADFUL. ..... ...a tiny chicken leg perched on a steaming mound of mashed potato, the ham was absent,so a query was made to the server, the plate was lifted and by the underneath of the chicken was lifted with a knife, and there, true to tell lay an infinitesmil sliver of cheap processed pork, usually sold .. sweating in plastic boxes THERE IS THERE H A M a triumphant server informed us.As a fly menaced the mashed potatoes on my plate of microwaved morsels we decided to consume what we could.pay our bill and make our exit as quickly as possible, and hopefully live to recount our experience and warn the families that dining at Hotel Curracloe is really not everyone's cup of tea (or chicken and ham for that matter)The stuffing proved to be elusive and made no appearance that day! The roast beef while plentiful was so hot and really scalding hot potatoes left me in no doubt the plates had been pre prepared ,then blasted in a microwaveMore
Great place with great waitresses. We have been taken care of as soon as we shown off. Food was good, well presented in good portion. I shared the breaded mushroom with salad and I had creamy pasta and vegetables served with garlic bread which I...recommend. My friend had a fish and chips with a tartare sauce... Dessert was excellent: Banoffee Pie for me and Chocolate cake for him... RecommendedMore
We dropped in here in January & we were pleasantly surprised by the many nice choices on the menu (for midweek) There were soups & snacks, mains & desserts & we had a really lovely lunch at a very reasonable price. To add to this...we had the pleasure of a lovely open fire on this cold January day & the lady serving behind the bar was so friendly & welcoming & we were not waiting more than a few short minutes for our food. We'd definitely highly recommend it & drop in here again when in the area!More
