I am a long distance walker and have been in probably 50 cities, towns, and villages eating at all kinds of restaurants, cafes, and pubs and I rarely write a bad review but this place is just bad. The reviews suggested “succulent” fried chicken and...“great” chips. The waitress brought out my plate no more than one minute after I ordered and the food tasted bad. The chicken was dry. The chips tasted like they had been sitting and were refried. The peas were barely warm and tasteless. I pride myself on always finishing what is served to me but could not here even though i was quite hungry after a 21k walk.More

Tasty food, great chips not greasy in any way. Sucullent southern fried chicken, their ‘grill’ meal is very generous. Spotless area for dining, have also had take away - lovely!

Fast service, homemade chips, and tasty burgers. Always go there for our occasional take away. You can eat food in restaurant also.

Food is always hot and tasty, love their Southern fried chicken, staff friendly. Restaurant is separate from the Take away

Went to have dinner in the Central Grill as we had takeaway before and it was nice. We decided to sit in instead of a takeaway. When we went in, we were greeted with a sign on the wall, no buggies or prams allowed. Straight...away, it looked like families are not welcome. We left the buggy outside and when to sit down, we asked for a baby seat, the lady was not very pleasant and told us it was broken. We felt very unwelcomed so we decided to go elsewhere to spent our money. I will not visit this place in the future.More

The Central Grill is a real 'old-reliable'. You can always count on it for excellent, tasty, fresh and filling food every time. Often times take-aways can be hit & miss with their chips or burgers but not the Central Grill. Their chips are always excellent...and so tasty as is the case with everything else they make. Can't recommend this place enough. Their prices are excellent and their portions are really generous. It's a must-visit of near Carrick.More

Italian owned take away nice menu fast service chips are fabulous but portions are way too small and way to expensive compared to other take aways in the town. One can also sit to eat in this premises drinks are served in a very small...glass and are also way over pricedMore

Central Grill will never let you down - they're food is the most consistent fast food around. Especially they're chips. By far the nicest chips in the South East. They're prices are excellent too. Everything they make is always so fresh & tasty - it's...no wonder they have been feeding the people of Carrick & the surrounds for decades. Definitely worth a try - once you give it a go - you'll find it hard to go back to anywhere else!More
