Excellent service, food and wine list, with a wonderful format of self-service buffet for starters and puddings, all made on the premises and of the highest standard. First class local ingredients, especially fish, shellfish, lamb, beef, dairy. Lovely atmosphere and the most beautiful setting by Dunmanus Bay estuary.

This is probably the 5th time we have visited the restaurant in our 12 years living in Durrus. The food, ambiance, service is second to none. It is not in the least pretentious which, I feel, is an absolute plus. From entering the restaurant, where you quietly sit perusing the menu and wine list whilst having a G&T, cocktail, or... More

I visited Blair's Cove with my parents a few weeks ago and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. The dining room is breathtaking. They have created the perfect ambience with low lighting, white tablecloths, a man tinkling away on the piano and a roaring fire down the end. It manages to be formal but cosy and... More

Have to say this was probably the best meal I've ever had. Location is beautiful, but that's nothing compared to the food. Seafood buffet starter was unreal, main-course (duck) was perfectly cooked and the dessert buffet is to die-for. And if that's not enough the service was excellent. It's not cheap or easy to get-to, but should be on everybody's... More

Every single event was an experience, every morsel of food was perfection. The staff couldn't have been nicer, the family feel and the remora location makes it so special. Being invited up to a buffet starter with many unusual dishes and flavours, I probably tried everything, each superb. The mains were excellent and the dessert was out of this world.... More

We drove 1:45 each way from Killarney to have dinner here and it was worth every minute. The staff is very friendly and attentive (unless you're so persnickety that you resent having to refill your own water glass). The food was absolutely sublime and the ambiance is warm and inviting. Kudos!!!

It is a good few years since I was last at Blair's Cove, and I had a feeling that it had seen its best. Definitely back to its old form with really beautiful food served in a charming setting. The same format as before with a buffet for starters and desserts and a good selection on offer for main courses.... More
