This is an old style bar with allsorts hanging from everywhere. It is a true anglers paradise as to ole end of the premises there is an angling shop to keep the Shannon anglers happy. The welcome here is warming and you could chat about anything you liked and it was not unwelcoming. A nice place and worth a stop.

Lovely welcoming pub. Great pint and lovely surrounding with open fire - convenience store on the side to boot.

Not much in the area was open, reviews promised decent food. Only offerings were pre-made pizza, soup of the day, and grilled ham & cheese. Major problem is the place is QUITE DIRTY and WORN--would never take anyone there except for maybe a pint. Given it location could be much more, but perhaps economically they cannot afford a decent redo.... More

The true Irish Pub/shop you could spend a good hour looking at all the old things for sale. The owner loves the crack and makes you feel more than welcome.

I recently visited Killeen's and found the atmosphere very warm and welcoming. My sandwich and chips were very well made, and portions generous. A few local gentlemen were singing and playing guitar, a couple more chatting, and overall I was able to join in and feel a part of the place. Killeens is an excellent stop if you're in the... More

Traditional local pub cum general store, very interesting and fun. Nice mix of locals with a few visitors and the atmosphere is great. We were not there on a night when they would have live music which was too bad, but we'd go again. Great curry! And they carried Smithwick's Blonde, which my husband fancies enormously.

Average pub food, but if you ask to meet Mick, it's memorable. Mick Killeen is a classic Irish storyteller, and some of them may even be true. He sat by our table as the 4 of us ate and told one story after another. After a couple hours, we had to say goodbye to go to our next destination, or... More

Lovely old pub for a few pints and the food is cheap and cheerful. The clientele is always mixed with tourists and locals which always makes for a entertaining experience. It is definitely worth a visit.
