Stopped in here one evening as I was driving home through Ballymahon. The food was lovely, proper fresh pizzas, and the menu looked great. The premises is nicely decorated. The staff were good and professional. The only downside was it was a full 30 minute wait for what was a small order of one pizza and a chips, which felt quite long compared to other establishments.

Got take out from the Athlone premises for my daughters 18th Birthday for a party of 10 and all I can confirm, everyone was very impressed.
We ordered a couple of large pizzas, some house fries, Onion rings, chicken wings, tenders and lots of tasty dips. We got so much food for our money and the quality of it all was very noticeable. We were particularly impressed with the pizzas, the dough was thin and crispy and the sauce was so tasty, just like in Italy. We loved the spicy one. We have had the burger and loaded fries before when we visited the Ballynmahon restaurant and loved the atmosphere and the food quality is superb. Nina served us and couldn't be more helpful with what our requirements were, and ideas on sauces to get etc.
Will definitely be back, keep up the great work guys! We highly recommend :)

Got a takeaway from Jolly Boys while in Center Parcs last week. Placed our large order of pizzas, burgers, loaded fries, onion rings, etc and 40 minutes later the order was delivered to the gate of the park. Be warned, the portions are huge!!!!!! But boy, is it worth it!!

We waited 2.5 hours for a take away to centre parks , we were initially told of a 1.5 hour wait - reluctantly said we'd wait as we had heard great reports. Order eventually arrived. Food was stone cold and order was wrong. Very disappointed especially after paying out €95 for this.

I’ve been to Jolly Boys Ballymahon twice in the last month with groups of friends the food both times and the service from Lucy was incredible… naturally i thought it would be a great place for date night on Sunday as my partner had never been and is sick of me saying how nice it is! So we drove the 30 minutes and Sunday was a disaster with over 35 minute wait to get our starter and no communication or service from any of the staff the girls were standing behind the till chatting. They seemed to be out of stock on a lot especially drink. The table beside me order had not been taken and they had been there as long as us and asked me could I help them get service as they were being completely ignored. When our mains arrived it was cold but once again couldn’t get attention of any of the staff … at this point my partner was not at all impressed and wanted to leave. Luckily the lovely waitress Lucy had come in and started to solve everyone’s problems making us all feel a bit more at ease and her bubbly personality and attention to her customers definitely calmed everyone’s mood.

Ordered food at 7.25pm. 45 mins from the time of order we arrived to collect food. The place was chaotic. A man at the counter said he had been waiting an hour for his food and was complaining. I waited 15 minutes, asked how long my order would be and was told it would be 10 mins more so I waited. The lady working at the counter was complaining about a delivery guy delivering a wrong order to a wrong address. 1 staff member was making derogatory comments about the delivery guys for everyone in the restaurant to hear. Another customer then arrived with the same name as me. They were told to wait also. After 15 mins my food order was then given to the other customer. ( 1hr and 15 minutes after I ordered) and the staff proceeded to have an argument over who’s fault it was rather than dealing with me. So in the 30 minutes I waited for my food, at least 4 orders were messed up. Needless to say, I requested a refund which took almost 7 minutes to process so I cannot comment on the food as I never received my order.

Placed an order online and paid, with collection due 40 minutes later. Arrived at the appointed time to be told that there was no food for me because the kitchen had cancelled my order because they were extremely busy and that I should have received an email telling me this (there was no email). There were no guests dining in the restaurant at this time. Front of house staff told me they'd check again with the kitchen if they could now 'accept' my order through, to which I agreed. I waited in the restaurant as some customers came and went. After a further 45 minutes waiting I asked the same girl if I could expect my food anytime soon, she went and checked with the kitchen and came back to tell me that one of the items I had ordered was unavailable and would I like to order something else? At this stage I had had enough and asked to take whatever was ready and leave it at that.
Overall really poor form from Jolly Boys. No communication, no management presence, no apologies. I had three hungry kids waiting in the car for an hour. Won't be returning.

Staying at centre parcs for the week, on site options were too busy so we looked for takeaway options locally. Jolly boys is just 5 mins away and our order was ready in 20 mins.
Excellant choice on menu, delicious food and great staff! We'll definitely be back any time we're down this way!

We arrived at 6.30pm, time of reservation, food served at 7.35pm!. There were 12 of us, one coeliac which I had advised them of at time of booking. When we asked about gluten free menu we were told all bases and buns can be gluten free, we asked about ingredients and cross contamination, after discussion the only item that was guaranteed gluten free is the salad! If you are a coeliac and get sick when you eat any amount of wheat/gluten this is not the place for you, unless you only want a salad! Not great for somewhere that says gluten free beside most of the items on the menu. The rest of us were satisfied with the food.

Thank you for your review, good or bad we like feedback. Our gluten free menu is as follows, our pizzas can be made gluten free with a gluten free base and toppings of your choice. As with every establishment cross contamination can happen when there is gluten in the kitchen. Our A la parrila chicken fillet can be made gluten free with a gluten free bun. Our chicken wings, chips and Mediterranean rocket salad also with added grilled chicken is also. Your server would of just liked to make sure you were aware of this as you mentioned you were had a very strong reaction to gluten. Any dietary requirements and allergen list is on our menu also. I’m happy everyone else enjoyed their food.

We got a delivery while staying in centerparcs (they delivered to the security gate). I would consider myself fairly picky but this was one of the best takeaways I’ve honestly had, 4 adults two kids and everything was ordered and delivered piping hot within 30 minutes. Pizza was proper dough, not greasy, chips were fresh and well cooked, burgers were high end and the chicken goujons were massive and so delicious. Great portion sizes with some leftover pizza for after the pool 👌🏻

Seriously, put some effort into (re)training your staff. Ate there on 13/9/22…barely a greeting from server, one of the kids spilled their drink over me & onto the floor. Waitress barely noticed, said she bring some serviettes, brought 3, I recommended she bring the mop as it had started to leak across the floor. Didn’t offer to replace the drink so we sent the kid up to ask for a replacement. Took forever. Floor was dirty, menus were dirty, table was dirty, table opposite us left & the table got a tokenistic wipe…staff idling around looking at each other. Food was lovely as usual…waitress had to be prompted for goodbye despite being left a decent tip. It’s the little things that make a difference. I like this place & hope it’s not regressing. Staff don’t seem to care. Shame

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, good or bad we like feedback.
Firstly I would like to address your negative comments.
Our staff remember yourself and your lovely family. With regards to the drink being spilled our waitress was in the middle of bringing your food out and did in fact say to you right away that she would attend the spill. Which she did directly after serving your food. She proceeded on her knees to wipe up the spillage so I’m not quite sure what else you would expect her to do? Our tables are sprayed with disinfectant spray after every use throughout the restaurant. Just a note for yourself, our 2 staff members that were on this day are 2 very bright, bubbly girls and we always receive compliments on their customer service. Although we can’t please everyone all of the time the majority of our great service reviews by far outweigh the bad. We appreciate your custom as we are a small local family friendly restaurant which employs local and uses local produce.
I am very glad you enjoyed our food as we take great pride in using our own bord bia approved farm for our meat dishes.

Got a take away.
Loaded chips had more jalapenos than would have done 4 portions. They also were swimming in sauce, were uneditable.
The chicken clucker burger was greasy and the chicken was hard.
Seems like the food here is going down hill rapidly.
It's a pity, it seemed really good when it opened first. For the price you pay it's definitely not worth it. Doubt I'll be back again too soon.

we ordered several take away pizzas from here on a Saturday evening. Selected a pick up time in an hour, but when we arrived we were told it would be a further hour as they were very busy. we came back an hour later to be told it was "just being boxed up" , and were told this every 5 mins for the next 20. at the time there were 7 other people waiting for a take away order but the restaurant was about a third full. The staff hid out the back causing new customers to come and go without being served. when we eventually got the food teh staff did apologise but it was almost 2 and a half hours after ordering, when we got the pizza home half the food was cold. I would avoid in the future

Thank you for your review. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed your food, we appreciate it as we put a lot of time and effort into our food. Firstly I’d like to address the delay, you chose a time of 6.50pm online. We were extremely busy so only accepted the time of 7.50pm. You arrived an hour early but we explained the time for you. As mentioned we were extremely busy and apologised for the further 20 mins delay. Secondly the room you say our staff hid in is our drink preparing room and the staff countlessly have to go their to prepare cocktails etc that is the reason for this. Apologies for the 20 min delay on your food.

Would highly recommend this delivery service to all staying at Center Parcs, the quality of food at Center Parcs is low and the only fault we could find with the place so we were thrilled to hear about this takeaway from our friends who had stayed previously. We'll be recommending to all and will definitely revisit. Thanks Jolly Boys, the food was fab.

Visited here while staying in center parcs…. WOW from start to finish. We had pizza, burgers and loaded fries all mixed. The food was amazing could not fault a thing. Pizza is to die for. Decor is funky and music too. Whilst we all agreed everything was amazing for us it was the staff. Nina served us the manager and told us lovely little stories about how jolly boys came about during covid and how the owner has his farm just outside and that’s where the beef comes from! You could tell she knew her stuff and the kids loved the attention from her! Keep up the good work and thank you Nina from the Hobbs family, we can’t wait to return!
