Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Honestly think it’s lunacy this place is 4.5 stars, seen better chicken wings come out of my George Foreman, chicken tasted like a vegan option and the chips are an absolute health hazard to a child. I’m not one to ever complain about food but...my Jesus I would’ve rathered throw my 20 euro into my fireplace then eat there again. Spend the extra fiver on fuel and drive on.More

Gone downhill? Chips served way undercooked. Wife agreed. Sent back, returned STILL some undercooked. Waiting person friendly and helpful under embarrassing circumstances.

When we were in Moyvalley for work, we searched for somewhere for lunch, we found Furey's and we were blown away with the setting, the food and the location of this beautiful little place. We had beef curry and steak sandwich, we couldn't complain about...anything, it was perfect and we'll definitely be back!More

Very welcoming staff in this quirky bar when I visited on Saturday 2nd March for dinner with my wife and nephew who was working nearby. The decor is amazing and full of bygone memorabilia. The staff were attentive and the food we had was of...a high standard. 100% recommend Fureys and will definitely visit again.More

This pub has fantastic character is warm and lovely cosy vibes with fire going.. It always had a good reputation for food but we think from our visit that this has slipped considerably. The presentation of the food was basic, very small portions, and everything...had a few sprigs of rocket and covered in red onion.! I remember this place was always known for decent portions, of excellent food and presentation was on point. No sauces on table but everything put in cheap plastic sauce tubs u get in supermacs!!! And the sauces are made from cheap mayo as u can taste it. Rotten. All of this then which was just OK was very expensive and we feel you get better bang for buck else where which we are sorry to say. If going to charge prices like that give people options and decent portions.More

Our group stopped into Furey’s on our greenway cycle. We were met with the most unwelcoming, rude customer service from a lady named Joan. The place was busy but she made us feel that we were the biggest inconvenience to her, even though we were...a group paying for food and a number of drinks. Friends who arrived before us were made feel so unwelcome that they ended up leaving and cycling to nearby Enfield instead where they were met with a much warmer atmosphere. We were shocked at the passive aggressive comments she made about us being there and was honestly so rude. Everyone commented on her manner and attitude and it left none of us wanting to return.More

Honestly, one of the worst customer service and dining experiences I've ever had. The manager, Joan, couldn't have made us feel less welcome or valued from the minute we walked in the door. From curt comments, snapping at us and then ignoring us, it's safe...to say that this group of 40 people will never be back. Some of group even left as they were so upset with the treatment they received. On top of this awful welcome, the food was mediocre...toasted sandwiches with cheese not even melted. I stood at the bar for 20 minutes while staff walked by and ignored me. I will never be back. I sincerely hope that Joan takes this review on board as we could of had a lovely experience if she understood good customer service. I would greatly appreciate if the owner could get in touch with me regarding this.More

Furey's. A family home. A refreshing stop for a weary journeyman. A homely spot for a family, a bit hungry and the menu looks delish. I only stopped two times so far even though I been in the area for around 7 years. First time...for a friendly meeting with a family friend - and Lou met us with a smile and a chat, and nothing seemed to be a big of a bother. The second time the boss of the evening was Diane - and again, the chat was there and customer service was exceptional. Next time is try the food, and it will be good knowing the other reviews. But on Sundays is no food unless they hire me to cook something nice. Reco: Someone on the way from Dublin West - food Monday - Saturday. Someone nearby staying, again food and drink. Someone just visiting from overseas - go, really nice. Place I will go tomorrow to check the beautiful menu. You have my loyalty Fureys. See you next time. Best of regards, FuegoMore

On arrival we were seated by a very nice young Lady, we ordered food and waited quite awhile for it to arrive, when it did we were somewhat dismayed at the small portion size, my husband’s main course accompaniment was either Chips OR Salad ,...it did not have a vegetable or a leaf of lettuce on the plate, and there was about 8 chips in the bowl !! I ordered an open Sandwich, which read on the Menu “served with Leaves and SALAD”, it consisted of two small slices of soda bread, 5 prawns, half a red onion chopped in large chunks/slaw and TWO leaves of rocket !!! It was so disappointing, small portions and overpriced !!More
