Probably a little unusual as a review but I wanted to give a big shout out to the staff and management of the An Poitin Stil. We were involved in a multi-vehicle accident on the N7 a short distance from the restaurant. The staff were...wonderful in looking after all those involved, made us welcome and we then were able to have an excellent meal and relax after a very stressful incident while we waited to be picked up. Couldn't have been better!More

Very comfortable surroundings. Food was absolutely top notch, piping hot when brought to our table and every mouthful was delicious. Found it really good value for money and will definitely be returning.

Stopped in on the way home from Dublin like half the County it would seem. We asked for a table and a very friendly manager sorted a table for us within ten minutes. Hostess was very pleasant. Ordered our food-chicken supreme and fish and chips...and they arrived within five minutes. Special mention though had to be for our waiter, so fun friendly and excellent at his job. Its so refreshing to see someone enjoy their work. I think his name was Alix (that was on our receipt) Will go back again based on him. Ye are lucky to have him.More

The menu on the website is inaccurate. We came here for lunch and when we arrived the very rude carvery cook informed us that our menu choice is not on the menu although it is clearly on the website menu. We instead chose the turkey...& ham carvery but the “ham” was a rubbery gammon steak which our knives were unable to cut through. Everything else was over seasoned with salt. Very disappointing as we’ve eaten some good dinners here in the past. Perhaps it’s just the carvery & the cook/chef?More

Best carvery in Ireland and fantastic value. Huge portions, plan not to eat much and high quality, the turkey and bacon were really perfect. Highly recommend, plus desserts are also great value. Great stop off the Naas road.

We visited the Poitin Still last Wednesday evening and had such a beautiful dinner. I had shank of Lamb and my partner had ribs. Both were beautiful and so tasty. We were served by a very friendly waitress and barman. So busy there and so...good. I love when we get the opportunity to eat here. Thank you to the lively teamMore

First of all I'd like to say I wasn't going to leave a review about the Poitin. Booked a table online and received a confirmation. Arrived and we were seated. When it came to ordering I ordered the Roast of the day. Anytime I get...this dish in any establishment I usually order half chips and half mash with it. I have never encountered been told "we don't do half and half. You can order chips separately ". As I'm local to the Poitin I've eaten there multiple times and never had this before or in any of their other pubs that they own. It might not be a big deal to people but I thought it was pretty poor considering there was never an issue before here. It just seems they are out to make as much from you as they can. I'm sure management will say prices have gone up, etc. but this still shouldn't stop the premises giving the same service as before. Overall as a couple with 2 young kids we found ourselves saying we would have been far better off getting ourselves a takeaway and a nice bottle of wine when the kids were gone to bed. Please note the food was mainly decent(apart from veg) and we had a lovely young man looking after us. He was friendly and attentive. It will be a while before we bother coming back to the Poitin if we even bother. There are nice places to eat within 5 - 15 minutes drive so we will probably visit them more often.More
