Stopped here on the way home from a days shopping in Galway. The bar is nice and bright. Lots of space for a buggy. Decor is very nice. The service was quick. The amount of choice on the menu was brilliant. I had the steak sandwich and my daughter had the Thai Red Curry followed by deseert the flavour of the food was delicous and the prices was very reasonable. Im already looking forward to going back for anither meal.

We had a lovely lunch in the Forge yesterday. It was an Easter outing for our Active Retired Group. We were seated upstairs - nice and roomy. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all. The person seated beside me had specific dietary needs and was very happy with her meal. All the staff were pleasant and most helpful. We will be back.

The Forge is spacious, airy gastro pub with a nice atmosphere.
We had a starter, main course and desert, none of these courses would be out of place in any Michelin restaurant.
The starter of prawn tempura was exquisite, the monk fish dish was brilliantly flavoursome and it was topped of with beautifully presented deserts and great coffee. We'll be back.

When we arrived at the back entrance we were greeted by a very friendly lady who said they were fully booked so we said no problem and went for a few pints elsewhere. We returned around 2 hours later and came in the side entrance where there was a young man standing at the wait to be seated stand. He him continued to type on some screen gadget and failed to acknowledge us and eventually he mumbled I'll be with you in a few minutes as if we were a nuisance to him. We all decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Very ignorant and not suitable as someone meant to be greeting guests! Let's say we will be eating elsewhere from now on!

From the minute we walked in the door it was just fabulous. The decor is just out of this world, the attention to detail is outstanding and that was before we even got the menu. The food main course for 2 adults and 2 children everyone had different options. The nicest meals we have eaten for a very long time. The pulled pork burger came in a black bun which was a bit fun to look at as I’d never seen this before but everything was perfect. The staff were brilliant, each one as nice as the next. The price of the food was such good value. I would definitely go out of my way to eat here again, the whole place was just fabulous. Get a lovely feeling the minute you walk through the door. The outside eating area was just as fabulous and funky as inside. Loved every minute here.

Went with a friend for food and ordered Louisiana hot chicken wings (basic) and was given dry Asian inspired tasting chicken wings sprinkled with spring onions and sesame seeds, no dip.. Didn't taste good at all and was never asked how it was.. i don't like to waste edible food so I ate it.. but it was not good at all and definitely not Louisiana hot wings.. very poor. Staff were very friendly but won't be returning

We visited on weekend . Food was superb and menu was well balanced with lots of options. The rib of beef went down very well at our table as did the fish and chips. The smoky burger was fab too. Pistachio ice cream on the menu was a real bonus, hard to find in pub restaurants sometimes. The floor staff were so pleasant and nothing was a problem to them. Some of the best we have come across in a while. The manager/owner also stopped by our table to check our experience was up to scratch. Guinness was just "okay" but still drinkable, maybe could have been better on that front, but that is nit-picking. Live sport on in the background , so that angle is covered well too if you're interested. Will definitely be back and would recommend.

Sinead really went out of her way to welcome me, my family, relations and friends. A few years back, pre Covid.
Now I can only reminisce of how good the Forge once was.
Food has slipped down to a ‘bistro’. But a bistro it is not. Formulaic food was all we saw upon the menus obtainable from anypub anywhere, anywhen.
The fish chowder being watery and fish overcooked. My grandchildren thought the chicken gujons great and I agree.
But the roasts, the home cooked food, the locals.
The Guinness was not the best

Dirty, disorganised, letting the area down. Plates of dirty dishes and uneaten food piled high at the end of the bar. Staff didn't have a clue what was going on. Needs new management and a cleaner !

The service was very nice, fast and courteous.
We ate chowder, burgers and roast, all of which were excellent. They had a great selection of different types of beer and cider. It is a good restaurant for families. Free parking is available just across the street

The food was great. The burgers were jucy and the pizza nice and crispy. Cannot wait to go again for their dessert 🤤. Fantastic rich chocolate brownie.

We called in a few weeks ago looking for food and to watch the football, unfortunately they didn't have the tv channel but were so friendly and helpful we decided to return later that afternoon

Waited 35 minutes for a sandwich and chips, it didnt show up, laft sitting there waiting for it.... pub very quiet at the time just 2 other tables of 2.... which had already been served.... maybe the chef doesnt know how to make a sandwich or just couldnt be bothered to make one, but either way service is terrible, food is non existent

We went for a christening, they had hired the upstairs area. We had a delicious dinner, the waiter's & waitresses were brilliant as were the bar staff. A truly wonderful experience.
