Mostly seafood, tostones and rice with jueyes. Very helpful staff and courteous service. However, the decor of the restaurant is bare bones so this is not likely the best spot for a romantic dinner or special event.

One of the core three dinner options in the Islote section of Arecibo, Picholo's offers a solid, though standard, menu of Puerto Rican cuisine. Like most restaurants in the area, menu isn't inexpensive for what you are getting, but if you are seeking a classic local meal selection this is a good choice. Mostly seafood and steak and mofongo (with... More

Good restaurant. They have a good chicken mofongo and churrasco plate. My wife had the mofongo and my dad had the churrasco. I can't remember what I had, so it wasn't that amazing. When we visited, there was only one server that seemed to be going from the main restaurant to the bar area, which is located next to the... More

More a Fonda than a Restaurant. Some people love it because the fish is very fresh and very tasty. They offer local specials. If you are picky in terms of ambiance, modern facilities, etc. this not your place. If your judgement is food taste go for it. You need a car in order to get there, but on the way... More

The Picolos Restaurant we went to is down between hwy 2 and the marina. The food and service are excellent. We went for lunch and ordered off the specials. Lunch was $7 each plus drinks and tip. The food was excellent. It reminded me of the old days. Muy Sabor.

Visited the restaurant today. My husband ordered rice, beans, fish with onion sauce and two fry small tostones... green plantains. In addition, I ordered a mixed seafood salad to go. My husband's lunch was a simple regular small portion service, and the seafood salad was about two to three ounces of onions and green peppers. The seafood you could barely... More

This place has good typical food plus high end seafood. The customer base appears to be Puerto Rican versus tourist. If you order off of the seafood menu, it will be pricy. We did not, so I don't know how the seafood was. Two of the three wait staff did not speak English, and my Spanish is lousy, but we... More

This place need more care and training to their employees and owners. The service is slow and not nice. The food is fine and average. The place need more TLC. Price if fine and average for a place like that. In general is a below average place with a bad and slow service.

We visited this place in my town when we want to eat fish or octopus. It is not a sophisticated place but have excellent quality in the food. They separated the bar area to the restaruant by making it much more suitable to visit with children. Furthermore the bar is small but cozy. To share with good friends or with... More
