We went to this small town and discovered Les Sarments. It has a beautiful setting outdoors. We felt relaxed and very pleased. The food ranged from terrific to just okay. But the ambiance, earnestness and friendliness more than made up for the food not being consistently outstanding.

A small but excellent restaurant , serving a set menu lunch time and evening. Prices are clearly displayed , take 2 courses , 3 or even 4 (two choices for each course ) add drinks and you know exactly what the addition will be . A secluded garden for the warmer days or move inside when it turns chilly. All... More

I had lunch in this restaurant on 8th September 2016. The food was a piece of chicken with some potato which was microwaved and tasted like a cardboard. There was no fresh vegetable, ratatouille or salade accompanied. Being in Provence, this was a shock. The desert: Apricot Clafoutis was made of a bun topped with apricot jam. Meanwhile the files... Finding this quaint little restaurant down a narrow lane quite by accident proved to be a gastronomic delight. It has a small, outside, vine and tree covered courtyard encased by a stone fence. There is only seating for about 25 -30 people but the ambience is typical French provincial. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. The food was delicious... More

Tucked away in a tucked away village at the foot of Mount Saint Victoire this restaurant offers traditional food in the pretty small garden. It was lovely to sit under the fig tree on a balmy July evening. A small set menu offers the best of the area. Friendly staff and excellent food along with the wine made it a... More

Jean-Sébastien Gentil worked in several Michelin-starred restaurants around France and abroad before setting up on his own in Puyloubier, The restaurant is high up in the village, in the appropriately-named Rue Qui Monte, and has the kitchen and a small indoor dining room on the right of the narrow street, while on the left is the delightful walled garden, shaded... Les Sarments is most definitely a destination dining experience. Although we are lucky enough to be local, I noticed many diners coming from a distance to enjoy the lovely outdoor terrace dining. The service is spectacular; great knowledge about the food and wine, excellent timing in between courses, and simply perfect in every way. We can't wait to go back... More

Just had a lovely lunch ar Les Sarments. I had a very good fried shrimp appetizer (shrimp were huge)served on a bed of guacamole and a rasberry sauce.......colorful as well as tasty. My husband and friends enjoyed lamb samoussas that they raved about. Next up were pork ribs for me, meaty, tender and cooked to perfection served with warm cole... More

At the recommendation of our B&B hostess, we ventured into the small town of Puyloubier, located at the foothills of Mt. Victoire, just 5 min over from Rousset (about 30 min from Aix). As a New York City resident, this was one of the smallest towns I have ever experienced. It was fairly empty on a Thursday night, but you... More

Tucked into a cobbled side alley is this picturesque restaurant. in good weather sit in the pretty walled garden for the full experience. There is a limited menu , two choices foe each course, but this ensures everything is freshly cooked and... More
