We were staying in a b and b in Colyton and this was our stop for evening meals. Very good food with a good variety and huge portions.

Went to the Kingfisher on a busy bank holiday Saturday. The food was excellent and the portions massive! All 6 of us really enjoyed our meals which varied from braised beef to Lyme bay skate to typical pub scampi and burgers. Would definitely return.

We stopped here looking for lunch and were not dissapointed. We had ploughmans, my friend had Hake and chips and her husband had roast beef. All delicious!

The Kingfisher was busy, and pretty buzzing - and we were lucky to get a late booking through our brilliant B&B. Being the sole option open to us for somewhere to eat, this must be default be the best in town. The food was OK - what was missing in quality, nevelty and/or creativity was compensated by quantity. There are... More

We were staying very close in a B&B so decided not to drive and try the local pub fare. We were shown to our tables the lowest I have ever encountered and my back was aching by the end of the meal and felt uncomfortable throughout. The menu and specials looked to offer plenty of choice. The starters were ok... More

Called in The Kingfisher on a Saturday lunchtime for a short break whilst travelling on the Seaton Tramway (approx 5/10 minutes walk from Colyton station). We were greeted by friendly staff in this village pub which had a lovely atmosphere inside. My wife and I had jacket potatoes with ham, cheese and pineapple which came complete with a side salad.... Friends popped into here today at lunchtime. All they wanted was drinks and a sandwich each. How difficult would that be? Apparently impossible. The barman said the kitchen was too busy as the dining room was fully booked and they couldn't do sandwiches. What a shame as these folks were checking out local pubs to use for a lunch stop... Attractive and atmospheric pub serving very good quality informal lunches with an option to sit outside. Service with a smile and fair pricing. Nice clean toilets.

Atmosphere was lovely, very helpful and friendly staff. The pub and restaurant are clean and traditionally styled. Toilets are very clean. Food was great value for money and excellent quality, again with friendly and attentive staff. We ate at lunchtimes with family and evenings as a couple. Service was faultless
