Had supper with three other couples and it was all delicious - no complaints whatsoever. Food and atmosphere here are second to none so big thank you to staff.

When you visit a once thriving and popular pub restaurant to find it empty at 1pm this automatically raised my concern ! I met an old friend for lunch this week and after ordering at the bar we then sat in the restaurant to have...More

My faith that the food will start to become consistent is starting to fade. Forever the optimist we keep going back. Sometimes good and sometimes awful.

We came for a family Sunday roast celebrating my Mum’s 70th and my sister in-laws birthday. The food was disappointing (4 of us sent ours back to the kitchen) and the whole experience was sadly, very unpleasant. We won’t be going back, felt quite uncomfortable...More

We didn’t eat here as only popped in for a drink whilst out walking. However, we looked at the menu and were impressed with the wide choice. We visited mid-week during lunchtime and the restaurant was busy with locals so I’d guess the food is...More

Description
In the picture perfect village of Churchill, The Chequers is everything a traditional pub should be with its pretty Cotswold stone exterior and a muddy landrover outside. Except, step inside this pub and you'll find something much more intriguing. A heady mix of the old and new. Expect modern cocktails to sit alongside local ales, and a menu that is packed with seasonally inspired dishes.Enjoy locally brewed beer propped at our bar with friends and family, or rustic dishes in our restaurant using the very best British ingredients in some well-loved classics like our Twice Baked Cheddar Soufflé, Bobby Battered Market Fish and our unmissable steaks cooked to perfection in Josper ovens.
