Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Although this place is very well-known for its shashlik, I still enjoyed the Greek salad and pancakes. They were great! My mate who ate shashlik and a few other dishes liked them quite a lot and he gave his 4.5 out of 5. Definitely worth...a visit if you're not far away from the place.More

If you happen to pop by on a summer afternoon/evening on a hot day, thinking that a sort of remote place like Artur would be a peaceful place for a quick bite, think again. As a fairly decent shashlik diner by a roadside, word has...traveled far and everyone flocks here for Estonians’ favourite food. Unfortunately the place is too small for that - not enough cooking and serving staff for entertaining such crowds, so by the time you’ve queued, ordered and waited for your food to be brought, a whole hour might have easily passed. I get it, there’s probably not a lot they can do here, serving staff doesn’t just magically appear out of nowhere in a small village nor would there be enough work for them on a more quiet weekdays but still, it’s not a pleasant experience to wait for your food for such a long time. Otherwise the food itself is all right although not exactly cheap for the size. Also, I imagine shashlik is much better on a day when they aren’t so overcrowded and actually have time and energy to put some love into it. I’ve heard good things about it, they can’t all be wrong. Just do yourself a favour and stay away on summer weekends when the weather is good...More

If you are hungry, it is a good choice to eat. Even small portions are big enough to to fulfill your appetite. The regular šašlõk was a bit chewy but the taste was good.

They took 1 hour and half to bring food we order. They didn't even tell us that have a bottle neck in the kitchen and food will take for ever. More over we came food they mistake and bring only one chicken saslok instead the...two that we ordered and pay. We were lucky we keep the recipt. They even say sorry about their bad service. The food is ok but nothing special that deserve this waiting time.More

If you are looking for grilled meat, that's the place. It is very popular place, even when highway was redirected, still people go there. Not a fancy place, there is feeling that they don't try as hard as they us to be. It's just a...fast food place, in and out. But place worth visiting, just for experience.More

Visited the place after a day in Rakvere, on our way back home. The atmosphere itself was quiet, no music nor service that would make you jump from excitement, but we got our food fairly quickly and the plates were BIG and full of great...fresh food! We ordered regular pork barbecues and chicken barbecues, along with basturma as a starter and some Georgian soda (that was cool they had some). The chips were nice, the barbecue succulent. The "small" plate would've been a "normal" size in any restaurant in Tallinn. In that sense we totally felt we have paid for what we got, no regrets whatsoever. Basturma was delicious as well. Would totally recommend for food! Otherwise, it wasn't cold as someone here as mentioned - the air was completely OK. The place was clean, and there was a guy there who kept an eye on the rooms so all the dirty plates etc. got away very promptly. The service itself was modest, no added value I would say. But it seems the company hasn't exactly communicated to its workers what great, lively service is about, because it seemed both of the staff we met (the guy on the floor and the girl behind the bar) were trying to be nice and professional. Don't be afraid to show a bit more teeth and talk :) I wish everyone as nice meals as our crowd had over there.More

The portions are huge and fast service. Very good shashlik but the salad is not that good for my taste. Do not go there if you expect a la carte menu or top-class restaurant.
