Once again a great experience. We always come here when in san jose, always busy with a great atmosphere and friend staff. The food is amazing. We tried a few new dishes this time, whole squid in oil, oven baked salt crust seabass which was the best fish we have ever eaten, lamb tagine which is rich in flavour and... More

The restaurant did mainly fish but some other dishes as well. We had roast chicken, which was a large piece of breast, and a meat paella. The food was nothing special but was acceptable and the service was a bit slow.

At the end of a run of tourist restaurant in the port, not expecting too much given the location and time of year, food was passable. I stuck to a tagine guessing this to be the the owners cuisine and feeling fish may be disappointing especially as it had been windy so no local fishing boats out. Service was a... More

It is not easy to find dining options in San José in winter and even harder to find anywhere warm on a cool evening. Even this place wasn't over warm - except in the welcome! My partner and I both had colds and were pleased to be recommended to a hearty home made vegetable soup. We shared a large fish... More

My friend and I ate here twice. The Mojitos are excellent. I had a delicious sole with well presented vegetables followed by chocolate cake. The wine was good too. We went back the following night for a "luxury"paella. It was OK but not the best I've tasted. I would prefer more smaller prawns and fewer langostines and "exotic" prawns which... More

Hoping for good quality fresh seafood we went to the port and found this restaurant that seemedto be nice. However the paella that we had was average (at the best). Maybe someone who has never eaten real Spanish paella would be satisfied but we were quite disappointed. The price was not so bad but for this region rather high. For... More

We had the seafood and fish platter for 2; great value at €28. The big surprise at the end was that it was the owner-chef's day off. Their number 2 chef was also quite outstanding!

Very lovely lunch today. I had the fresh Corvina and my friends had the lobster paella and black rice with mussels. A lovely white Rueda washed it down. Chiperones and salad to start.mbrilliant service. Could fault it. €114 for 4.

Massive fish choice, sea bass was amazingly awesome. Sublime cooking and some tagine options on the menu. Best on the dock, right at the end. Local fishermen actually came in and had their own catch cooked, which speaks volumes. Nice folks. Kudos.
