A must in Kenmare

Beautiful food and great service. Highly recommended. Easy to find and the fresh fish is mouthwatering. Proper chips and cooked to your liking

Fantastic food and service highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips. The owner was so lovely and chatty and you could see everything made fresh. You could see he was a perfectionist with his trade. I was really impressed. Highly recommend

Fresh food cooked to perfection and plenty of it.

This is not some fly by night operation at the side of the road looking to make a fast buck, the owners are in this for the long haul and it's always busy every time I pass. If it's not open it's only because there...was no fresh fish delivered that day, when it is open it sells out quickly. The fish is always fresh from the sea and cooked to perfection in that lovely crispy batter, the portions are huge. The chips are equally as fresh and tasty and again the portions are huge. We've learned that 3 portions of fish and 2 bags of chips is more then enough for 3 hungry people. I've had fish and chips in a lot of very well known places that are famous for the quality of their food, most of them are more expensive than Wharton's but hand on heart not one of them comes near to Wharton's for quality, portion size and value for money. The very friendly owners behind the counter are always in top form and very obliging. Try it once and you'll be craving for your next visit.More

Excellent Fish & Chips.

Called and collected fish and chips for the family. I ordered too much as they give you a lot of everything. The Hake was fresh and cooked to perfection, the chips were great too. We took them down to the seafront and ate them, it...was a great way to end the day. I would highly recommend Wharton’s Fish and Chips to anyone.More

Fantastic fish & chips on Kenmare Bay

Went to Wharton's food truck on our first night in Kenmare and were not disappointed. Amazing fresh hake and haddock (the cod was sold out) and lovely chips wrapped in paper. There was a steady stream of locals, which is always a good sign. Friendly...service. We ate at Templenoe Pier with fab views of Kenmare Bay. Just bring your rubbish home. Open til 8pm, go early to get your choice of fish.More

Amazing fish & chips

Possibly the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! Chips were perfect. Fish amazing. Batter dark and crumbly. Perfectly seasoned salt & vinegar and slice of leamon

We stopped here on Saturday for a large punnet of chips to tie us over on our spin back to Cork and both my partner and I said they were nicest chips we ever had!! The portion was very generous and great value at €3....We crossed the road and drove down to Templenoe pier which was a perfect spot to enjoy our grub! 10 out of 10!More

THE best chipper!

This is our favourite chipper ever. Kevin and Zuzannah run a fantastic takeaway - well worth the few kms drive out of Kenmare. The portions are huge and everything is fresh and hot. We enjoyed fish, burgers, chicken goujons and chips. Such good value and...oh so tasty!More

Top Notch Fish & Chips

Brilliant fish and chips (and chicken). A must stop on the Ring of Kerry - great portions and cooked to perfection. Plus Templenoe pier is a only a minute away to enjoy the view as you eat. Great find.
