We visited yesterday (Friday evening) following a recommendation for food. This is very much a "pubby pub" with lots of locals there just for a drink. However, we were made to feel welcome and ordering food was easy. Dishes are very much what you would expect from a pub e.g. burgers, gammon, scampi etc. The food was fairly priced and... More

Visited The Lark on a Friday night for a bite to eat and a drink. The atmosphere was lively, the beer was excellent and the bar staff were first class. We ordered food, which came quickly and was all tasty and well cooked. I can highly recommend the steak and ale pie. The only downside was that whilst eating, there... More

20 of us piled into this time y little gem of a pub for dinner. We proceeded to make it easier . The pub was full as usual, and locals and staff were very friendly Food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Pretty much everyone had been to the pub before on several occasions, including me. Mine wasn't the best... More

My partner and i went on Friday 16th. Place was buzzing as usual. Both of us ordered Steak of the week which was Rib eye. We were served promptly considering the amount of people in there. Huge portions and the Steals were succulent. We always admire the splendid service afforded us by the young waiter and bar staff. We fully... More

We were fortunate to win a two course Sunday Lunch for two in this pub and received a warm welcome today. Our food was delicious home cooking with excellent portion size. This is a nice ungentrified small town pub that is obviously frequented by locals. We would be happy to eat here again if we were in the area.

When we went there were no more than 12 people in the pub but the service was very, very slow. We ordered Mulled Wine, which is just a matter of putting some wine in a glass and adding hot water. We had to wait about 10 minutes and this was after two reminders. The main meal took some time to... More

We decided to visit the Little Lark after many recommendations. We enjoy good quality food in a pub atmosphere. Staff were friendly. We chose the Deperate Dan pie and Steak and Ale Pie and WOW ! It's huge and I've never had a pie so full of meat and flavour, it tasted amazing. So glad we want! Will definitely visit... More

The pies are of some local repute so off we went to sample them. Suffice to say that the Steak and Ale pie was immaculate, perfectly presented and very tasty. The crust is cooked separately which is a good thing as it can be lifted from the dish. Also very reasonable prices and a comprehensive menu if pies aren't your... More

Went for a traditional pub meal, and wasn't disappointed. Portions were generous, food was well cooked, tasty and well presented. Beer was good, staff friendly.
