Always busy as they provide authentic Indian style food at reasonable prices. Right on the marina side, so a great place to visit to see the boats and occasional super cars. I had onion bhagi to start and the Mumtaz korai with mushroom pilau rice....More

Visited here with family.Service ok but food no better than a microwave meal from a supermarket.Awful papadums and naan bread obviously just brought in from suppliers.Amazing how they had a constant stream of customers happy to be served up such second rate rubbish!

A good dining experience, but I noticed that those sitting near the road - restaurant is open air in part - were being approached by street beggars/ vendors. Glad I was sitting towards the back, but still in the open. Lovely view of harbour/yachts. Menu...More

Description
For more than 30 years, this renowned restaurant continues to be instrumental in changing the perception of Indian cuisine in the heart of Puerto Banús. Mumtaz is recognised for its classic combination of indisputable knowledge, unique experience and tradition. The restaurant offers guests a sophisticated fine dining experience with naturally charming staff, discreet service and tantalising food that few can compete with, ensuring that guests come back for more. Mumtaz's fare is derived from traditional Moghul cuisine, focusing around the Tandoor oven, where bread, fish and meat are all cooked in the authentic North-West Indian style. In addition to the conventional and established Mumtaz favourites, executive chefs Chandan Singh and Mikbal regularly devise new dishes to keep the menu innovative, modern and up to date. Mumtaz also has a vast and superior wine list, with a fantastic selection of wines from around Spain.
