We've been to Makos many times throughout the years and I can't complain. I always order the lobster in garlic and butter with a mofongo. We always order 1 and half servings each. We stuffed ourselves! Love it!

I got there at 7pm the place was empty with a group of employees talking in a corner. I was seated and after 10 minutes waiting for services I left. Dont pay those prices for such a poor services. No wonder why the place in front was packed and the services was amazing.

The place has a good parking, on week-ends it gets crowded. Service is so and so, the last time we went the fish was not fresh as the previous visit. Food is average and the prices are too high for the quality and quantity served, there are other restaurants nearby like Ikako's and Vinny's that are better. Will not go... More

Horrible service. We cancel the order and just left the place. Nobody welcomed us and the two employees (females) was too hostile and arrogant. I went there with my daughter and a friend with her daughter and was a very unpleasant experience.

Within 2 minutes inside the restaurant on a semi busy day @ 4pm got a table and greeted by a very friendly waitress and within 5 minutes inside we had already ordered we stepped in after having a horrible experience next door in Vinnys and we were greeted professionally and with courtesy. Definitely recommend

My friend and I visited El Mako last Saturday June 25 2016, because the other restaurant that we always visit was closed due to a private activity. We asked for fried red snapper. Mine with smashed breadfruit (tostones de pana) and my friend with mofongo. The fish seams to be defrosted in a microwave because was chewy. The tostones were... More

This was our least favorite spot in the small town. It was extremely expensive and the food was so so. I ordered shrimp Mofungo and it was tasty but the shrimp was extremely chewy. Hard to eat. My husband stuck to porkchops because it was to expensive. I wouldn't probably return.

We just came back from hiring a private fisherman to view Monkey Island and wanted to grab a bit to eat and after asking around found this place. Ambiance: They have music playing in the background with lots of light. The Food: Here is the real 'meat and potatoes'; pun intended. One word....DELICIOUS! Three of us ordered an appetizer but... Best lobster I have ever had! Amazing restaurant near the ocean. I had Garlic Lobster (unbelievable!), and those I dined with had lobster salads as well as conch. They also had a fresh fruit punch that was very good.

Hard to find online - only found it on a competitive travel site :) referred to in a B&B review.
