Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Returned again several times and same old service and attention, nothing but a good welcome every time. Food just as nice and prepared to your taste. Took my girlfriend and she was just as happy.

We stayed in Murrisk but wanted somewhere besides a pub to eat so we ventured to Louisburgh as we new this restaurant was there. We arrived before 6 and discovered it was not open until six which was fine as we walked around the town...and came back at six. The hostess opened the door and let us but we saw all the tables were reserved. However she most kindly sat us at a table for two and told us that the reservations were mostly made by people coming in later and we would be fine. We looked over the menu and saw many tasty option and specials. My wife wanted the fisherman's pie however the hostess said it would take 45 minutes. As we were hungry we opted for other items. I ordered a wonderful breast of chicken and wife a beetroot burger. We did start to get a little anxious as we watched the chef prepare the chicken somewhat from scratch and it did take a good 45 minutes before we got our food - but by was it worth wait - very tasty and expertly prepared - a real treat and we left no room for dessert. Country kitchen is only open evening and reservations are a must. They do not server liquor but will uncork your wine for no fee and even suggest you can hop across the street to the off license for you own boooze As we sat there customers came in and we observed them really satisfied with their mealsMore

This was a brilliant find! We loved the food, atmosphere and the food. And the food!!! Great selection of dishes, local produce and sessional ingredients. The menu covers meat, fish and vegetarian. You might have to book ahead, its small and has limited seating but...it is worth it.More

The Country Kitchen is one of Louisburgh's jewels, (along with Books@One and Solas Crafts). All on Main Street near the bridge. Amy and John provide fabulous food in a very friendly and intimate setting. We always take our visitors here for a "meal out", and...we've never been disappointed. Affordable fine dining with the freshest local produce. Can't recommend it highly enough. And you bring your own wine or beer, no corkage fee. Be warned, it's cash only, no cards.More

Dropped in last night with 3 friends on a cycling trip. Food was exquisite in this small classy but very relaxed restaurant. All the dishes were very very good. Wonderful Onion Bhaji with the nicest mango chutney, mains were all just as good Surf &...Turf with Calamari. Seafood Linguini and Roasted Hake with Red Curry. We all had dessert, they were all great but the espresso, baileys and ice cream won hands down. The restaurant was BYOB. We had great craic with the waitress, service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Going to go back with my wife next month when we go on holidays. If you are anywhere near Louisburgh just go. It's a small restaurant so call to book or check availability, we were staying localMore

We had one our most memorable meals here. Great food with perfect service in a nice cosy place. The restaurant is small and we booked in advance. You have to bring your own wine or beer but there is no corkage. The food was delicious....We had the mixed platter to start, and had lamb and linguini main courses. The food was light and we had a dessert each too! I know - we lost the run of ourselves...The total bill was Euro70 plus a 10 euro bottle of wine from the local supermarket. Worth the trip to Louisburgh for this place alone. Honestly!More

This restaurant is, simply put, a gem. It has a very friendly and cosy and warm atmosphere. You are made to feel very welcome. The food is cooked fresh and from locally-sourced produce and is quite simply, delicious! Book in advance to avoid disappointment and...bring your own bottle (no corkage fee!) or you can get your pint from the pub across the road. Don't miss it!More

A group of 10 of us had dinner in this lovely restaurant after a long day of filming for Wild Atlantic Leisure - it was a last minute booking and luckily they managed to facilitate us. The quality of food and service is excellent with...some unusual dishes - so be prepared to try something different. Do not be put off by the exterior - this is a superb little restaurant, very welcoming and great food. Make sure you book well in advance.More

Delicious food, particularly good seafood, charming service and very friendly atmosphere combined with affordable prices make this a lovely place for a meal...out. The Fisherman's fish pie was unbeatable, and lovely seafood linguini too. Can't recommend it highly enough. don't miss it. Open from 6pm - 9pm. It's small and intimate, and you can bring your own wine without having to pay a corkage fee.More
