Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a nice place to go for food. The staff is very professional and pleasant. The inside of the restaurant is original with book shelves and local products. Good menu, particularly enjoyed our seafood chowder and main course salad bowls. Good choice of cakes...and ice-cream. You can bring your own bottle which we bought in the local Gala shop. We have had a great evening and we enjoyed dining there. Definitely a place to go while in Louisburgh.More

Our first time in Louisburgh – arrived late morning and there was no place open mid-town. Saw a sign (handwritten) pointing to Louisburgh 74 Café and had to endure much negative comments of the “wild goose chase” variety as we were running out of town...and still no café to be found. Just about to turn back when we spotted the sign - worth the walk. Nice view, furnished with pine tables and bookcases. Great Chowder, home cooked cakes and scones, and excellent coffee. A hidden gem and service is first rate. RecommendedMore

I went here when it poured down on St. Patrick's Day, and was offered a great welcome. Lovely staff. Had the Granuaile poached egg and salmon sourdough sandwich - delicious! Can highly recommend it. They also have books to buy or swap, not quite sure.

Thank you for your lovely review. We always appreciate hearing nice things. The books are donated to us and we just as for a donation and the money goes to our local Order of Malta as the town would be lost without them.

Great restaurant in the town of Louisbourgh. Very good menu with an array of breakfast and lunch options. We had the soup of the day and sandwiches. The soup was very tasty and the sandwiches were packed full of ham and cheese. We will be...back when visiting the area again. Very helpful, friendly and welcoming staff.More

An excellent spot for a quick lunch, we visited twice. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, very friendly and quick service with reasonable prices. Seafood chowder was a good lunch on its own. Paninis were large and very tasty. Halloumi salad was very good too....Parking available outside. A great spot for a quick informal lunch. Would certainly return.More

Ok, will check if the restaurant can show it. I had eggs Benedict, delicious; also remember the baked goods - luscious, & the full Irish was full Irish!
