We've been big fans of Fiskars Wärdshus for literally several decades and were looking forward to our visit this time around again. We went to the wonderful Birthday concert of Jorma Panula and came a little late (21:20) for our 21:00 reservation. We had checked...by phone that we would be OK as long as we get there by 21:30. When entering, the younger waitress welcomed us with a telling expression that was anything but friendly and, in the following conversation, made sure that we understand that we need to get out fast. When coming there, we understood the outset that we will need to get out pretty fast. However, one can tell this kind of things in some many different ways. We were not intending to hang around until midnight, we just wanted to have some nice food and a glass of wine and wind up by their closing time. In a restaurant of this price range, one always expects to find friendly attitude even when getting close to closing time. As we also bought carry-out, we purchased food and drinks for close to 200 euro. With this price, a little friendliness would not cost much and would pay itself back through visits in the future. Fortunately, the senior lady that was present was friendly and so was the chef and the food was good. But the atmosphere of our quick romantic dinner was a little bit disturbed by this breeze from the old days of Finnish restaurant culture when it was not uncommon to be greeted with the attitude that "I have better things to do than serve you". We were also surprised that there was no bread. Corona was given as an excuse but, with the proper precautions, bread can be served just as risk-free as any food. I hope we have not lost one of our favorite restaurants in SW Finland, as my wife is not so interested in visiting Wärdshuset in years to come.More

We had a great day at Fiskars Village. Since this was our first visit to Fiskars we used Tripadvisor to choose a good restaurant. Our choise was Fiskars Wardshus. It was a really good choise. We ate Caesar salad and it was excellent! Also the...service was really friendly. Only one thing was a dissapointment. One local man arrived to the restaurant and smoked tobacco although there was a little baby in the next table.More

Our family had eaten many times at Kuparipaja, but this time my wife and I wanted to try Wardshus. The menu is limited, and as I am a lactose intolerant, I had only one option for the appetizer and the dessert, and two for mains....However, that was not a problem because everything was excellent, and the blueberry and yoghurt combination was maybe the best dessert I have ever got. My wife was also very happy with her selections. Based on this experience, Wardshus may serve better food than Kuparipaja, but Kuparipaja has definitely better views and nicer interior design.More

Exellent food and service! One of the best dinner experiences in Finland. We had with my wife a 6 course menu. Two starters, two main cources and two deserts. We can highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent visit at this establishment. Finland’s oldest Inn from 1836 (stayed over night). Restaurant now under new management since a year I would say. Former chef Patrick Karlsson was legendary. New chef doing well I would say. We had a delightful late lunch / early...dinner, six courses at mere €66, which was a very reasonable rate I would say. Nice texture, varied tastes, joy for the palet and eyes. Had 3 starters: the poached egg, gravlax-cray fish and beef carpaccio with pickled tiny chantarelles. The Muscadet Sèvre & Maine sur lit was an excellent choise. For mains the poached pike perch and the sirloin beef, which was juicy and tender. To go along we had a nice Mas del Périé Cahors ’La Roque’ 2015 (Lanquedoc). Excellent choise. My partners coeliac / gluutenfree diet was all through taken into account, though there was a miscount at one point, but we realized it ourselves at a nick of time. A wonderful visit once again. Excellent staff & service.More

The food (whitefish) was nicely decorated and tasted good. The staff was nice (even though their Swedish and English language skills could be stronger since there are mostly tourists going to this restaurant). The restaurant is very stylishly furnished. Altogether a pleasant experience

We came late for a lunch and instead of having the typical rejection from the host pointing that it was too late, the lady checked with the kitchen what could be still done. Service is really the plus of the place. Our host took the...time to present us all different local drinks produced a few hundred meters from the restaurant. We had soup, salad and a nice pulled pork burger with two local beers. Probably super challenging to get a table there during summer!More

Had a business trip to Fiskars - an old industrial area with old buildings. Great place! Starter: Beef frim Bondböle’s farm beet root and thyme —> absolutely good! Main course: Duck breast, Jerusalem artichoke snd Sea Buckthorn berry—> Taste was great, but unfortunately the duck...was a little like ”rubber” because the knife was not so good...😬 Dessert: White chocolate and black currants —> 👌👍🙏More
