We had their six course tasting menu which was quite tasty. The size of the different courses could have been bigger though. I also took the wine pairing which was OK but lacked fantasy a bit, quite safe and even a bit boring choices there.

Excellent dinner experience at short notice. The staff and service were skilled and friendly. I had Wild duck & black salsify for a starter and the dish was delicious and very well balanced; the caramelized apple was a great fit to the duck. For the...main course I had beef & funnel chanterelle, and mushrooms and Brussels sprouts worked well with the beef. The Fiskars village provides a nice atmosphere at this dark time of the year!More
We were a group of six and had the tasting menu. The food was excellent from start to finish and service was very friendly. I can highly recommend!
We stayed for 2 nights as a couple (and the rest of the family joined us for the second evening and night.) We were a bit concerned about having 2 dinner in a row in the same restaurant, but after all would have had even...more! The menu was a bit limited what comes to options, but the quality of portions did outran that. Very beautifully set up plates and food was absolutely tasty. The portions were if not small but not huge either, especially after a day outdoors on mountainbikes and packed lunch. But we didn't leave hungry, nor thirsty. Kitchen played well with vegetarian meals, too . We were very pleased with the service, very polite, quick and humorous in the same time.(special thanks to Matias ) To be totally honest; we didn't expect level this high could be found in Fiskars village! We will definitely visit Wardshuset again!More
The limited options on the menu (3 starters, 3 mains, and 3 deserts) suggest that each dish would be carefully thought through and tasty. Mine however lacked in salt and flavour. Not really what I want from a 30€ plate. The service appeared well trained...and helpful but were never around when I wanted something. Other minuses were small portion size (my party complained that they were not satisfied after the meal) and large amount of flies in the indoor dining area.More
We have been longing for the tasting menu of restaurant Wärssy in Firskars. Now finally after the Covid time it was possible to travel. And YES, the menu is still a reason to visit the restaurant. The tasting menu consists of 3 starters, 2 main...courses and the dessert. Extremely beautiful and tasty dishes made of local ingredients. It would not be fair to lift up any above the others dishes, but still want to mention Tartar with spring onion. When you combine perfect food with cozy atmosphere and friendly service, what do you get ? A place to be visited again.More
Tartar and spring onion was tastefull as a starter but main course goatcheese and tomato contained mostly beans. Other main course beef & garlic was quite ok, but the meet wasn't medium and gremolata tasted too strong with meet. Other waitress seemed to be a...little bored. She had to check from the paper what she was serving.More
We've been big fans of Fiskars Wärdshus for literally several decades and were looking forward to our visit this time around again. We went to the wonderful Birthday concert of Jorma Panula and came a little late (21:20) for our 21:00 reservation. We had checked...by phone that we would be OK as long as we get there by 21:30. When entering, the younger waitress welcomed us with a telling expression that was anything but friendly and, in the following conversation, made sure that we understand that we need to get out fast. When coming there, we understood the outset that we will need to get out pretty fast. However, one can tell this kind of things in some many different ways. We were not intending to hang around until midnight, we just wanted to have some nice food and a glass of wine and wind up by their closing time. In a restaurant of this price range, one always expects to find friendly attitude even when getting close to closing time. As we also bought carry-out, we purchased food and drinks for close to 200 euro. With this price, a little friendliness would not cost much and would pay itself back through visits in the future. Fortunately, the senior lady that was present was friendly and so was the chef and the food was good. But the atmosphere of our quick romantic dinner was a little bit disturbed by this breeze from the old days of Finnish restaurant culture when it was not uncommon to be greeted with the attitude that "I have better things to do than serve you". We were also surprised that there was no bread. Corona was given as an excuse but, with the proper precautions, bread can be served just as risk-free as any food. I hope we have not lost one of our favorite restaurants in SW Finland, as my wife is not so interested in visiting Wärdshuset in years to come.More
We had a great day at Fiskars Village. Since this was our first visit to Fiskars we used Tripadvisor to choose a good restaurant. Our choise was Fiskars Wardshus. It was a really good choise. We ate Caesar salad and it was excellent! Also the...service was really friendly. Only one thing was a dissapointment. One local man arrived to the restaurant and smoked tobacco although there was a little baby in the next table.More
Our family had eaten many times at Kuparipaja, but this time my wife and I wanted to try Wardshus. The menu is limited, and as I am a lactose intolerant, I had only one option for the appetizer and the dessert, and two for mains....However, that was not a problem because everything was excellent, and the blueberry and yoghurt combination was maybe the best dessert I have ever got. My wife was also very happy with her selections. Based on this experience, Wardshus may serve better food than Kuparipaja, but Kuparipaja has definitely better views and nicer interior design.More
