We stopped at this restaurant while on a tour of the island. The food and atmosphere was wonderful. We enjoyed ourselves very much in their upstairs dining room None of our group speaks French but the owner Philippe was wonderful and able to communicate with us in English very well. The food was delicious!

We had a very nice dinner at L'Alsace with the best food on our sailing trip so far. Service was fast and very friendly. We would recommend the entrecôte and the fish. The restaurant on the first floor was spacious and very cosy- and with a good aircon. Prices are reasonable. Definitely a recommendation for a nice dinner!

Philippe, who owns the place- explained he moved here 5 years ago, bringing with him a taste of home. And oh my, has he succeeded! The choice of Belgian and French beers are admirable, with my favourite (La Chouffe) available. The red wine was enjoyable and reasonably priced. The food portions are ridiculously large; but the flavour and authenticity undeniable.... More

I grew up close to Alsace (French border between France and Germany). It is a good feeling to find a little spot of Europe in the Caribbean. It may sound weird, but it is a nice change, the food is good, cooked with quality products, and fairly priced. It is worth stopping by if you are looking for something different... More

Alsatian food in St. Pierre, Martinique. We both had the chicken special which was excellent and inexpensive. Our host is multi-lingual (French, German, and English). He works hard to make sure all his guests are satisfied. Comfortable space on second floor across from harbor.

Excellent food, moderately priced, very large portions by European standards. Owner is one of the few people we met in Northern Martinique who spoke excellent English. One night I ordered what I thought were two small entrees-delicious but I could not finish either as I wanted to have dessert-the chocolate thing #2 on the dessert menu-out of this world. Another... The proprietor speaks English very well, and the authentic German fare of Alsace-Lorraine is absolutely delicious.

first of all: you must make a reservation! the restaurant is very small. Philippe was a gracious host and despite our lack of French, he helped us navigate the menu and put together a lovely appetizer plate so we could sample the delicacies. The restaurant specializes in food from the Alsace region of France so its almost German: with an... More
