We called for lunch. There were no other customers in, but the waiters stood chatting to each other, completely ignoring us. We were eventually shown to a table and brought menus, but not asked if we wanted drinks. The crepes were average. After we had...eaten we were brought the bill, not even asked if we wanted a dessert or coffee. Expensive, but great views, but not worth it for the disinterested attitude.More
Wonderful setting at mouth of Laita estuary. Season effectively over so basically operating as a restaurant rather than a bar. Definitely better than average on our visit.
Galettes and salad for two not our normal dinner fare but had already lunched well and long. Just...what we needed and not as outrageously pricey as many in the area.More
To celebrate first wedding anniversary decided on trip to south coast, however hadn't planned anywhere particular and ended up in Guidel-Plages. Pulled into first car park we saw, but it was full. However, we did notice a row of restaurants. Parked up as close as...we could. Decided on which restaurant by looking to see how many each had already eating. Based on this chose Les Pieds dans L'eau.
Even though it was slightly cool, we sat outside on terrace overlooking the sea. Service was friendly and welcoming. My wife had the moules and I had the salad La Périgourdine. Both of us enjoyed our respective meals. As the restaurant is mainly a crêperie, the wife had a crepe with maple syrup and I went for the Dame Blanche.
A nice touch was that they provided blankets for those that wanted to eat outside, but felt the chill in the wind.
Would certainly eat here again if in the area.More
