We visited Pyhän Uula in July. We got excellent service and the food was great! We can recommend everything we had: For starters, we had Uula's fish where the main thing was pike tartar. We also took a boring starter of goat cheese salad but even that was a positive surprise. For the main course, we had the mushroom risotto and the fish of the day. Both were great, and the waiter said that she thinks the mushroom risotto is the best main course in the restaurant. It's hard to compare but can't say that I disagree too much either.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere

Uula's menu is based on Finnish local food, both raw materials and staff come from Lapland. We initially enjoyed Uula fish, roasted reindeer fillet as a main course and Uula’s homemade ice cream for dessert. And the harmony of tastes is what is promised, top notch! The restaurant is very cozy and quiet, although it was almost full of customers. Casual service and all our wishes were listened to. Next time we will test the pizzas!

Nice restauranr, a bit slow service although almost empty. Food was good. Ordered paahdettu poro medium and got what I ordered. Also porokäristys was done following tradition. Overall good experience for all of us (6 persons)

You can't help but miss Ahti and Auli's dishes, both in appearance and especially in taste. Huttu Uula's atmosphere is gone and it did leave this trip quite cold. There wasn't even juice available for the kids, a reindeer burger was €26 and it didn't disappoint. At the time of Huttu Uula, you could get a tasty and perfect reindeer pepper steak for breakfast, if you wanted. À la carte dishes are now only available in the evenings. Before, the room was full of people, now you could choose where you wanted to sit. Buckle up, you have the best possible place to feed the skiers and everyone else out and about.

Nice ideas but final result is not good

I have visit several times to this restaurant and every time it leaves me angry. There are good Part with every food, but alla has spoiled some how. Today we got menu of The restaurant. Gazpacho was having too much onion. Main food with mushrooms was good, or sauce and vegetables were good, but meat was someting which should have cooked two hours before serving as a dinner. Dessert was average - not sweet, actually tasting only little bit blueberries. Maybe after that strong onion soup (gazpacho). This kind of menus should be like that you remember restaurant rest of your life and every time remember that how good food there is. So I wrote that this wasn't first time for me on this restaurant. I have eaten several pizzas also here those pizzas are having same problem - idea is good but final result is not. I feel that someone other person has designes The menu and the other person is saving with materials or putting his/her own ideas to ingredients and final result is something not so good. Price/value imbalance, stay away!

What a price hike! 24 euros for a hamburger plate with a handful of fries, same for the Wiener schnitzel. The burger was tasty and juicy, but still fairly plain and unimaginative. The patty was insufficiently seasoned, sea salt and black pepper would have done wonders. The schnitzel was quite small. Because of the poor value of the meals, this is the last time we visit this place. Bye bye!

This place is out of stock almost every Day. For me it means amateur place. Very big dissapoint evening after evening. They tell you they are open Till 9.30PM but its not true. Drive to Kemijärvi (48km) there you will get your good pizza etc.

Best kept secret in Pyha.

Best kept secret in Pyha. We have been here a few times before and always thought Huttu-Uula was a place for french fries and coke. This time we took a deeper look inside and found a separate alacarte restaurant. The food and service was brilliant so now we have a new favourite restautant in town.

Dinner after hiking - it was good

Visited this place with friends, after a hinking. Service: Very friendly all the way. Food: I took sautéed reindeer and Leipäjuusto (bread cheese). Both of dishes were tasty and got my hunger away. Nothing bad to say about the food. Price: Comparing the price to the food and service, it war spot on good.👌 I would go here again.

Tasteful local food in cosy atmosphere!

The food is really good and they use a lot of local ingredients in their meals. If you are looking for lappish culinary with really good ingredients in cosy almost home a like place, you should totally try Huttu-Uula! I live in the area and we have had many nice evenings here.
